I just had a Virtual call of my child with Somerville. 

The principal Ma'am is very nice and she will make a whatsapp call. She will ask that if she can interact with the kid or she will give you an option that the parent can interact with the kid and she will observe.

Overall, I think if the kid knows how to respond and express, the chances of selection should be good enough if the parents are confident in their interaction with the Principal Ma'am.

Keeping my fingers crossed though!

Hi Sumit,

they ask questions about the profession of the parents, their schooling, the reason for choosing Somerville, their expectations etc. 

However, the admission process at Somerville is very ambiguous, complex and non-transparent. they never publish the list of selected candidates ever! So the lucky ones get information only via email/sms. One would never know the number of seats in Nursery neither the final intake! 

The Principal is a nice and very gentle lady in her demeanor yet admission process is so so centralized that she alone takes the interaction session and decision to select or reject. so unlike other schools in Somerville their is no panel of teachers to evaluate the kid or parents. 

For reasons known to the school only on several occasions they pick kids from localities quite far from the school ignoring those who live closeby! so 3 km range is just a catchword.
