Hi Ravi,

I went to school today. I have submitted a handwritten application along with the original fee receipts. I have kept the photocopies of the same for the record. They told first they will send the application for approval and then only they shall be able to tell the amount which is going to be refunded and this work will be done by Jan-Feb, next year.

We had interaction for DPSN today 2:30PM. Interaction started by 2:35PM. Be patient, waiting time may be more in some cases. There are two teachers. Due to urgent office work I joined joined the zoom interaction from office. My son accompanied by mother joined from home. They conveyed that interaction pattern will be like, will interact with child first then parents. Questions asked to my son: (questions were repeated in Hindi also whenever it was required)

1. Any rhyme. One of teacher started Jhoney Jhoney…and my son completed the rhyme.
2. Color of the marker with which he was scribbling on white board, color of shirt…answered correctly.
3. What do you see in the sky…. answered Moon and stars. Continued what you see in daytime. He could not answer.
4. One teacher said to copy her making feast…. opening and closing palms…raising finger. He copied superbly.

Then he allowed him to go and play.

 

They asked both of us to introduce yourself. Then why you are choosing DPS. Wanted to hear answers from both of us.

It all lasted 13-14 minutes then the zoom interaction abruptly disconnected without formal ending and cannot be connected further. Any one can share if it happened during earlier interactions also. Was the zoom interaction timed and disconnected at scheduled time or it was technical glitch from host side.

Hope it will help. Thanks Madam Sakshi for providing such a wonderful platform to help the parents. We have already blocked the seat in Somerville.

Was considering to go with SFS I admission, however i feel 40 : 1 student : teacher ratio is not good. What can you say on this.

Also do we have any other good option still available around Indirapuram.

Which schools are round the year admission types?

Yes most of  Traditional schools have  1: 20 in  Pre-Primary classes.

In senior classes it becomes 1: 35 ( or more).

I have heard they maintain 40:1 ratio in lower classes like LKG, thats worrying me...

Even my kids playschool (small wonderz) currently running online has ratio less than 10 : 1

Many parent find school infra and facilities also old and old traditional way of teaching in St Francis Indirapuram.
