DPS International or The British School

Not first hand review...just my opinion

As Swati Mittal rightly said British School is among the most sought after International school.

Rest for which class you are seeking admission.

As SBS Noida does not open admission for nursery ( only for Montessori).

SBS Noida  is among most sought after International school in Noida >DPS International (RK Puram/Saket)

Also are you looking for admission in Noida only or anywhere in NCR.

Rest do you have any preference for IB  or IGCSE curriculum.

Also some schools offer International curriculum after 10th class.

Thanks, Sakshi dividing it in 3 parts.

a) We are flexible for anywhere in NCR seeking for Nursery class. We are thinking of hybrid IGCSE + IB for middle and senior school. Needless to say there should be thrust on early education (till class 5 and it should be holistic).

b) Also, lot of international schools (British, Heritage etc) have age calculation as of Sept 30th or July 1st (so child is eligible for KG directly in these schools), does it make sense to skip nursery and join KG straight away?

c) How shall we compare a new age school (like SBS, Noida) vs traditional one (like Vasant Valley) till class 5? (as you have pointed in earlier discussions that VV has holistic thrust till class 5 and is one of the best, that's why the question of comparison)

 I would recommend Pathways school Gurgaon. ( There  are two  in Gurgaon).

Vasant Valley is also New age school and equally good or better than SBS Noida.

The only difference is V,V follows CBSE curriculum and focus is on holistic development.

I would also recommend  Genesis Global in Noida.

a) If we have to choose between VV and SBS, Noida. How do we rank them?

b) If we have to choose between British, Pathways, HIXS. How do we rank them?

VV>SBS.

British>Pathways>= Heritage (Personal preference).

Thank you. One last thing on preferences. How shall we rank between VV, TSRS (Vasant Vihar), TSRS (Aravali), SBS, Noida?

You should see distance and curriculum.

If CBSE then VV.

If ICSE then TSRS (Vasant Vihar).

If International Curriculum then SBS Noida.

Thanks Sakshi. Just few quick questions around TSRS (Aravali) which you didn't mention at all.

a) Given TSRS (Aravali) focuses on holistic development too, how do we rank SBS, Noida and TSRS (Aravali) [till say class V]? Can you explain curriculum of SBS, Noida vs TSRS, Aravali and which one is better over another?

b) How TSRS (Aravali) compare to TSRS (VV)? Which one should be preferred over another and reasons?

c) Do TSRS (Aravali) students (can choose) IGSCE/IB in class 6 onwards which is offered at TSRS (Moulsari) only? Is it new admission or transfer is allowed seamlessly without problem, given TSRS, Moulsari is senior school for TSRS, VV and not TSRS, Aravali?

1 SBS Noida and TSRS (Aravali) both focuses on  Holistic development.

SBS and TSRS (Aravali) cannot be compared as SBS follows International Curriculum and  TSRS (Aravali)  follows ICSE Curriculum.

2 TSRS (VV) > TSRS (Aravali) as per parents first hand reviews.

3 After grade 5 children from Vasant Vihar  are automatically transferred to t TSRS (Moulsari).
