No update as of now.
Anytime :)
We applied for 3 schools and got through them all for session 2023-24:
1. Somerville Noida (expressway) - Fees is 40K quarterly + transport + 40K Admission Fees (one time)
2. LVIS Noida - Fees is 45K quarterly + transport + 70K Admission Fees (one time)
3. TSMS Noida - Fees is not shared but approx (70K quarterly + transport) + 100K Admission Fees (one time)
We are going with TSMS.
Thanks for helping parents :)
You took the right decision as both Somerville Noida (expressway) and LVIS Noida have mixed reviews.
Congratulations! What made you choose TSMS over LVIS ?
LVIS - The pressure is too much on the parents. Regular project work, models
What we could gather from reviews / discussion / visiting schools, is:
- LVIS Noida has good infrastructure (something which all school offers). They offer everything in the market in terms of sports & extracurricular. On the academic front, had mixed reviews, where some parents have switched schools from LVIS. The important point here is- they do not offer anything different than schools like JBM, Gyanshree, Mayoor School & many other schools. Seems like it's just another school.
- TSMS : We didn't hear any bad review from anyone, only fees is an issue (50% higher than other schools- where we could not find any reason for this). Also, it has one of the smallest school campuses in Noida (1/4th the size of avg school size), which is why it does not offer extensive sports facilities.
Lastly, I am someone who is happy to switch schools based on the current requirements of our child- as they change with age. So for a couple of years, we are going with TSMS, n will continue till it fits our needs. For example, if my child (currently 3.2yrs) is inclined to sports at a later stage, will definitely change from TSMS.
Wish luck & happiness to all parents.
@Sonia thanks for this in-depth analysis. Today we visited the TSMS, it definitely has a very underwhelming infrastructure, for eg. no splash pool for kids below Grade 3. But the teachers there seemed to be more patient and helpful. Plus, I am concerned about following ICSE curriculum as against CBSE (which is what I am familiar with). That’s why the dilemma.
Hello Dr,
The board is also a concern to us, but I guess it would not make a difference in primary education, specifically until the 3rd or 4th. Post which definitely it will dictate the choice of a school.
Currently, we have in our mind to re-assess the school when our child will be in 4th, both because of board & infrastructure.
