Noida schools gear-up for Nursery admissions

Noida: As the nursery admission kicks off, CBSE schools across the city have decided to issue the first list of selected students by September 25. Parents can get information about the student`s list from school’s website, notice board and also via phone call.

Delhi Public School has made new arrangements with regard to online registration through which parents can download admission form from school’s website and submit it in person at the admissions office. The final list of students meeting the admission criteria will be issued anywhere between Sep 12 to Sep 16.



Likewise Cambridge School is also ready for Nursery admissions this academic year. School have planned on conducting a meeting between parents and school principal to help parents clear their queries relating to the school. The final list will be out within 10 days post the meeting.

Sec-16 A based Apeejay School Principal, N N Nayar said, “After the completion of registration, we will select 500 forms of students depending upon our school admission criteria. The final students list will be revealed on September 25.”

Private schools geared up for fee hike

Noida: CBSE Schools in the city are once again getting ready to hike fees for the Nursery admissions which begins this September. The management of most schools is likely to take a decision on the quantum of hike which is expected to hover around 10 to 12%.

This fee hike has spread shock waves across parents who are checking the fee structure before admitting their kids into the schools.

According to Modern School Manager, S D Jain,” There will be 10 to 12 % fee hike across all our campuses. We will decide on the final hike before admission and a common fee structure will be circulated for the ease of the parents.”

One of the parent Preetam Arora said.”I have gathered information about fee structure from four schools. Basically I want a school where my kid gets best learning and which does not burn a whole in my pocket.”

Schools such as Delhi Public School, Ryan International, Mayur School, Vishwa Bharati, The Millenium School, Kothari International are expected to hike fees for Nursery admissions during the new academic session.

Hi all

Please provide your input on following query --

I have recently shifted to NCR and currently putting in Indrapuram and my office is in Noida sector-59.  I may get possesion of my flat in sctor 76 in Mar 12 and will shift to Noida.

My son DOB is 27th feb 2009. hence completing 3 yrs in 2012 and meeting few school age crietria.

1. My query whether i should opt for this yrs for school which ask for 3yrs or should

wait for next yrs and opt for school who ask for 3.5+ age .

2. is there any posibility that the school may change the age criteria next year.

Anil, I am in the same boat with my son's DOB being Nov '08. I am filling forms for a quite a few schools this year, but my aspirations of having my child educated at DPS/Somerville/Cambridge, etc. have gone for a complete toss. If he gets through some good school now, I don't think I will pull him out to study in these schools in Nursery again. Moreso after paying heavy admissions fees.

Another big problem is the address. Right now, you will not be able to show a valid Noida address proof while some school explicitly state that Noida residents will get a preference.

I feel bitter being in such a state but I am confident (or call it my prayer) that my child will do well in life be it any school and it is the school's loss if it cannot take him.

Since you have been promised possession in Mar 2012, I would suggest that you realistically assess when you would be able to start staying there. If its beyond Mar 2012, get an admission at one of the good schools at Indirapuram.

Even after the high court orders if schools have decided to hike the fees to 12% it's no doubt schools has started functioning like profit making organisation with profit as their motive instead of improving the quality of education. Hope the 3 member committee set up by high court to look after the fee hike shall not fall under corruption.
