The Admission Process

The requirements and the criteria:
For Nursery (Pre-School) admissions, advertisements are usually given in leading newspapers around 1st week of December or as per the calendar prescribed by the Directorate of Education. Applicants meeting the admission criteria are short-listed and then names displayed in the School by the prescribed dates. Admissions are generally finalized by March. 25% seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of Society.

Admissions to other classes are against vacancies arising out of withdrawals. Admission closes by end March and any further admission is subject to availability of seat and approval by the Directorate of Education and/or CBSE.

Each application is individual and we look forward to getting to know you through the process.

School Bus Transportation System
Salwan Montessori School provides an extensive Bus Transportation System. Our transportation service is mandatory. We recommend that parents discuss bus availability with the Transportation Coordinator.

Buses are required to arrive at school on time. The School reserves the right to alter bus routes and, therefore, pick-up and drop-off times, as deemed necessary. Parents are encouraged to use the SMS bus service and if not the school recommends car-pool. No Private vans or autos are allowed keeping in mind the safety of school students.

MAM

is there an increase in ews quota this year and any change in point system?

pls reply

To my expectations, there should not be any increase in EWS quota. 25% is sufficient.

Hi Sakshi,

I thought it'd be better to ask in this forum "how do you rate Salwan as compared to Bal bharti and Springdales"?

1. BBPS

2. Springales

3. Salwan

I am not receiving calls from parents regarding commencement of nursery admission process as compared to previous years. Indicates most of the parents are aware of the same through this forum and with the previous exposure to websites. This is good thing. But this year amendments are  expected in the guidelines regarding documents and points as well.

Parents beware of touts. Please study previous guidelines and plan accordingly.

Maharamji

this forum is doing wonders

please guide how bbps is above springdales

i think it should be

springdales

salwan montessori

bbps

please guide i f i am wrong  balbharti has lost its sheen but  no matter springdales level also also comg down but still it has snob value

This was about BBPS Pitampura and Springdale Pusa Road branch over Salwan. During inter schools competitions/debates organised by DPS Mathura Road, I have seen not seen Salwan bagging the prizes more as compared to BBPS and Springdale, Pusa.

Parents themselves tell us that they are not satisfied with the existing infrastructure and curriculum when they approach DPS MR for admissions in various classes.

Anyways, everyone has their own perspective. This was mine. Sorry, if you are hurt. I also expect you to share some good things about this school to help others.

Maharamji, i agree with Manju - this forum is awesome but yes - even I would like to know the criteria for your thoughts about the order of schools...

Plus, what kind of amendments do you predict in the guidelines and/or the point system this year?
