@mamta , all school ask for court decree but some school might accept an affidavit by magistrate (you need to convince the principal) as they are special cases ,you need to consult legal expert for format

Thanks Sakshi.I would like to know even if I am not considered as a Single parent,is it mandatory to have father's signature and qualification proof???Is providing his name n address,n saying that I am not living with him, not sufficient??

@mamta ,after implementation of rte, points cannot be given on education/qualification /income of parents but at the time of document verification schools might ask both parents to be present or even if single parent goes they can ask for any document related to your husband's occupation /residence address and also few schools from last year asked for recent family photo in prescribed format

so it depends how you tackle the situation

Delhi Latest update on nursery admission:-

Around 2,000 private recognized schools in the city will start accepting applications for nursery admission from 15 December 2011 to 31 January 2012. Schools are expected to come out with their first list by 07 February 2012.

Age criteria likely to be 3+ as on 31^st March 2012

sakshi can u plz inform the procedure for name inclusion in birth certificate at present....I was going thrugh site of MCD bt could not get the details there...

This is what the Delhi Gov Web site states. The practice at MCD is slightly different.

I recently got my child's name included. What you need is an affidavit (there are folks with standard text available at the MCD office who would make that for you), proof of residence and the birth certificate. Deposit the same at the MCD office. The name change is reflected within 7 days.

7. ENTRY OF THE NAME OF THE CHILD IN BIRTH RECORD

In case the registration of the birth has been done without name of

the child, the name can be entered free of cost within 1 year either

orally, or in writing. After 1 year but within a period of 15 years name,

can be entered on payment of Rs. 5/- as late fee.

In the year of registration, name will be entered either at the

Registration Centre or Zonal Office where registration of birth was made

and after 1 year, it will be registered at the concerned zonal office only.
