Hi wanted to check if parents needs to submit original copy of MCD BIRTH CERTIFICATE or schools accept photocopies if applying in more than one school pls advise

@Ashish very few schools ask for original rest accept zerox, but keep 5-10 copies handy

@Suparna, Affidavit would be again school specific and would vary for every parent and others you can keep atleast 5 set of all and if required can get it zeroxed/attested

yes except affidavit ,5 copies on an average as every parent will apply in atleast 10 schools if the points criteria remains the same( but most of the schools having online forms ask for docs after selection )

Thanks, does the photocopies need to be attested by GAZETTED officer???

yes some times self attested also (school specif)

I attended the mission school admissions 2012 held at the Delhi Haat, Pitampura over the last weekend and was shocked to find that the participating schools were confirming admissions to nursery there and then and offering discounts in fees as well...........

This is a total violation of the admission guidelines

Even I attended the same but its a complete waste of time and energy! The schools who participated were new schools who have either come up recently or coming up in near future. They participated only to promote their schools than to provide guidance to parents or offer admissions. Am sure no wise person has subscribed for the same!

For address proof is it necessary to have only the father's name on the electricity or MTNL bill? will not the mother's name be enough as address proof? (not maiden name but with husband's surname)

Is name on the Birth Certificate necessary?? I have my child Passport... Won't that work instead??
