EWS / DISADVANTAGED GROUP HAS TO DOWNLOAD FORMS FROM THE SITE OF THE DEPARTMENT (www.edudel.nic.in) FILL IN AND SUBMIT IN THE SCHOOL ON 16TH JANUARY 2012 BETWEEN 9 a.m. AND 12.30 p.m.

Hi Sakshi,
I went through all the admission notices that have been published on this site and one thing I've noticed is that the address proofs asked by these doesn't don't include passport. Isn't that a valid address proof? That's the only address proof I have at my current address. Please clarify.

Its school specific like springdales accepted only passport and voter id..its the most authentic proof(make it sure its not very old)

I didn't get you. Which is the most authentic proof? I was under the impression that passport is one of the most important ID and address proofs.

It is but this year dps noida ,did not accept .logic was your passport could be 5-7 yrs old but u might have changed your residence in last 2-3 yrs

but as per our experiance passport/voter id are most safe address proof in delhi atleast..so dont worry

Thanks, Sakshi. My passport was issued in 2010. So it's quite recent. But in case the school doesn't include this in the list of documents, then can i submit it?

Yes,They work on logic (add one affidavit ,if it is not in prescribed list.no need to worry ,if u face prb we will tell school how stupid they are rejecting passport)

he School uses the cut-off date of April 1st to determine the class your child will be placed in.

Class Age Birth Dates starting academic session 2012 - 2013
Pre-School (Nursery) 3+ yrs Birth Dates starting academic session 2012 - 2013
Pre- Primary (KG) 4+ yrs 1st April 2007- 31st March 2008

Have schools started accepting the UID (Aadhar) card as an ID and address proof?

@ Sandeepan - You can consider Lease Deed/ latest paid Electricity/ MTNL Bill/ Electoral Card/ Driving License too as address proof. Some schools include passport,some current bank A/c statement and ration card.
