Mount Carmel Admission Notice

Mount Carmel Schools run Classes from Nursery to XII. Admissions are done at three different levels.

Time of Announcement for Admission to different classes :

Nur & Prep Classes : 2nd Jan- 14th Jan 2012 (8:30 a.m-11:30 a.m)
February/March : Classes I to IX
March / April : Class XI - for external candidates.

No admission is granted in Classes X and XII.

(a) Nursery :

Age: completing 3 before 30th Sept. 2011 (Born between 1/10/2007-30/09/2008).

The students are selected under the following categories:

General category by draw.

Siblings by selection.

Economically weaker section - for those drawing less than Rs. 1,00,000/- per annum, by selection

Special category for Staff, Alumni and Christians

PREP ADMISSIONS 2012-2013

General Norms :

1. Both boys and girls are eligible for admission to Prep.

2. Children born between 1st April, 2007 and 31st March 2008 will be eligible for admission to class Prep for the session 2012-2013.

3. Our school is situated on the defence land and according to the lease agreement , 70% seats are reserved for the children of the Defence Personnel & children of the civilians residing in the cantonment area.

After considering the defence quota, this being a minority status school, Christians and Catholics of our Zone (list enclosed) will be given preference. Only if there are any seats vacant after considering these two essential categories, the alumni and siblings categories will be considered. There being no vacancies, after considering the above said categories, admission will not be opened for the General Category.

4 a. Total number of seats in pre-primary class : 135

i. Seats reserved for children of the defence

personnel and residents of the cantonment : 95 (85 seats at the time of admission

and 10 reserved for defense

personnel who come on transfer

later).

5. Registration Forms will be given according to the following schedule :

2nd January, 2012 \9a.m. to 12 noon Defence Personnel (to collect the forms in person)

In case the officer is not able to collect the form

personally , it may be collected on his behalf with an Authorization Letter attesting the specimen signatures of the person collecting the form.

3rd January, 2012 9a.m. to 12 noon Cantonment Residents (Please carry Voter ICard)

4th January, 2012 9a.m. to 12 noon Catholic & Christian students of the zone to be covered

by M.S.M. (Please carry the Parish Priest Letter)

5th January, 2012 9a.m. to 12 noon Siblings & Alumni (Please carry your elder child’s

Report card for Sibling Category Proof and Class 12

Certificate for Alumni Category Proof).

Please note: Parents are advised to follow the above schedule. Forms must be submitted to the school office according to the following schedule between 9 a.m. and 12 noon:

6th January, 2012 Defense Personnel

7th January, 2012 Cantonment Residents

9th January, 2012 Catholic & Christian Students of the zone to be covered by M.S.M.

10th January, 2012 Siblings & Alumni

6. Photocopies of supporting documents have to be submitted along with the Registration Form. Original documents will have to be produced for verification purposes at the time & date given:

i. One passport size photograph of the child for all categories.

ii. Copy of Date of Birth Certificate of the child from Municipal Corporation for

all categories.

iii. Copy of the Baptism Certificate and a letter from the Parish Priest in case of Christian

and Catholic candidates.

iv. Residential Proof : Voter’s I-Card and its photocopy of both parents.

v. Occupational Proof of both parents – letter from your employer.

In case of defense service, a letter from the office where you are serving, with

a mention of the designation of the competent authority signing the letter.

vi. Sibling Proof: Report Cards of the elder sibling studying in our school.

vii. Alumni - Class 12Certificate issued by school and proof of being a member of the Marian Association.

7. Parents will be intimated of dates to come with original documents and get their

documents verified, if necessary.

8. The first list of selected candidates along with wait list (if any) will be put up on the

notice board on 30th January, 2012.

Our school organizes various Inter School Championships for different Sports and Games such as Football, Tennis etc. We have been participating and winning many Inter School Championships organised outside the school. An hour in school, at least twice a week is devoted for sports and games for all round development of students.

Computer Aided Education

All classrooms have a computer and a Television each. Computer Aided Education is an integral part of our curriculum.

I-Guardian Software

The school has installed a software called I-Guardian, which helps the parents to view their wards’ performances as and when required and various other details like attendance of students, assignments given, circulars etc. This is an excellent mode of instant communication between the parents and the school.

Hi I was in bangalore last year and had visited this school for my sons admission its a good school and d fees is quiet affordable people think that its a school which charges less fee is not a good school but they build a good base for every child .
