Nursery/kg/1st |COMMON ADMISSION THREAD FOR SCHOOLS DECLARING ADMISSIONS OPEN FOR DELHI SCHOOLS FOR YEAR 2012-2013

Parents are requested to not put generic queries but contribute with admission details if they are aware of any school. This would help parent community only and not break the continuity.

AS WE ARE DOING THIS FROM LAST 3-4 YRS WE WOULD BE FOLLOWING THE MAIN TREND, THE ADMISSIONS INFORMATION WOULD ALSO BE AVAILABLE ON THE DELHI ADMISSION OPEN GROUP ALSO, AS SOME TIMES PARENTS ARE NOT ABLE TO LOCATE THIS THREAD

THE LINK FOR ADMISSIONS OPEN IN DELHI 2012-2013 GROUP IS GIVEN BELOW

Sakshi, which school is this?

VSPK Rohini lists Gender (boy/girl) - 20 points.
What is this supposed to mean?

20 points are given for both boy child and girl child.

Which begs the question, whats the point? Might as well remove this criteria, right?

What is meant by RAA?

In simple word it's General Quota.

Doesn't sound "General" to me. More like Management quote extension. I mean, where is the transparency? It is so vague. Assuming generic admission forms, how will they ensure they are getting "people from all walks of life"? I cant see them do this without profiling or knowing background of parents.
Thoughts?

i think they are doing profiling of engineers /doctors/lawyers in name of general cat

Mr Vohra will highlight this quota

My quetion is how will they choose them , like for rest of category they will do draw of lots ?

It doesn't matter, right? Even if they are having a lottery system within this category, the overall pool will consist of hand-picked parents anyway.
