Admission Information For Nursery (Pre School) Class

Academic Session {2012-2013}

In pursuance to the Director of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi Order No. F.DE/ACT/2011/6525-34, dated 16th December, 2011, the following criteria has been laid down for admission to Entry level Class in the school for the academic session 2012-2013.

Seats available in Pre-School 96

Category Wise Seat Distribution

E.W.S Seats (25%)
25% of the seats in the above mentioned class shall be reserved for students from the Economically Weaker Sections and Disadvantaged group and shall be filled on random basis from amongst the applicants who are eligible as per conditions laid down in Govt. Notification No.15(172) /DE /Act /2010 /69 dated 07-01-2011 and subsequent orders.

General Seats (75%)
20% seats shall be kept under Management Quota.
80% seats shall be filled on 100 point scale based on school specific criteria as outlined in the table below. Admissions shall be made on 100 point scale based on school specific criteria without any discrimination of Caste/Religion/Region etc. The points shall be distributed based on the parameters as mentioned in the Points Table given below.

Criteria for Selection
E.W.S. Candidates
The candidates applying under E.W.S. Category & Disadvantaged group shall be selected on random basis through a draw of lot in the presence of a nominee of the Education Department.

General Candidates
(General) candidates shall be selected / admitted on the 100 points scale based on the school specific criteria as outlined in table below. Candidates applying for Management Quota shall be admitted at the discretion of the management of the school.

Age

The child should be at least three (03) years old for admission in Pre-School as on 31st March, 2012.

Registration

Standardized registration forms shall be available from the school's website and at the fee counter of the school from 2nd January, 2012 to 16th January, 2012 between 8.30 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. on payment of Rs.25/- only.

For the forms downloaded from Internet, for the convenience of parents the said payment will also be accepted at the time of submission of the Physical Registration Forms along with the other necessary documents.

However, the forms for E.W.S. category shall be available free of cost. (from the School Reception).

The filled in forms should be deposited in the office of the school by 16th January, 2012 upto 15.00 hrs.

Important Documents to be attached with the Registration Form

The filled in application form should contain the Attested Photocopies of the following documents:

Birth Certificate
Two proofs of residence
One photograph each of child, mother and father or the guardian as the case may be
Photocopies of proofs in support of school specific criteria

Online Admission Enquiry

Parents can also Register Online, However the filled in Registration Form along with the required necessary documents must compulsorily be submitted in the office of the school before 16th January 2012 upto 15:00 hrs.

(Online Registration is not Mandatory)

I'm an OBC. Does OBC falls in the category of EWS? Can I apply through EWS channel? But I don't have a valid govt. certificare. I only have a cerificate from my community representation.

Yes OBC ( non creamy layer whose gross annual income not more than 4.5 lakhs) comes under Disadvantage group in EWs quota. But you have to get a valid community certificate from Tashildar from Revenue/ Taluk Office.

Sir,

Went to st marks janakpuri puri to fill the form for preschool as today was the last day. But they rejected as they asked the dob of my child which is 22.02.2008. They said that he is overage to get admitted in nursery and they don't take kg applications. If you even fill the form the form will be rejected.

Some schools are really rigid on their terms.

Kindly let me know if some other schools also consider the above criteria (overage) even if we want our child to get admitted in nursery at the age of 4+. I am more focussed on dwarka schools.

My Husband was in Pune for a project of 3 months & returned to Delhi on 1st of December 2011. He has another assignment beginning in Bangalore starting Feb 2012 (we have all the papers) - He work for a MNC Bank - Will we be eligible for transferable job points that most of schools give out? - Please confirm. Also suggest if we need to get a specific letter from the Organization & the content of the same.

Sorry generally u will no get but being in MNC bank you can try GD Goenka, Heritage , Vasnat Valley etc

Hi,

My daughter is born on 16 July 2007 she is already 4+. As everybody is talking about pre-school Nursery and the age for this is 3 and 3+. What about the kids those are now 4 or 4+, schools are not mentioning any criteria for them? Will there be any other form or what should we ask for. Will schools be taking interviews or any other formalities for these kids pls advise.
