With schools starting with the process of nursery admissions, Monday seems to be a big day for the parents of tiny tots across the city.
Schools will start selling their forms from Monday morning. While most schools will sell them till January 16, many will stop the sale

earlier.
“It is important for the parents to make a list of schools they want to apply to and write down the first and last dates for forms. Also, it is better to take along the documents. If they can, it is better to submit the form on the same day as this will help avoid multiple trips to schools. Also, parents should not take their children along to buy forms as it will get tiresome for both,” said Sumit Vohra, founder of admissionsnursery.com, a forum for parents seeking admission for their children.

Online registration is also an option that seems to have made the life of parents easier. More schools are offering the option to apply online, including Vasant Valley School, Mother’s International School and Shri Ram School. “It is very important to retain the registration number if you are applying online as it is the proof of registration. One should always take a printout of the acknowledgement slip,” Vohra added.

Those whose children managed to get admission last year are using social networking sites and parent forums to alert others on how to avoid unnecessary difficulties in the process.

“There are long queues, so I would ask parents to come prepared for a long day. Also, there is usually no seating arrangement,” said Kavita Sharma, a parent whose daughter got admission last year.

Meanwhile, parents should also be armed with all certificates to ensure that the application process is smooth. “Different schools have different requirements. It is important to note what each school wants. It is best to make a list along with dates and requirements,” said Vohra.

As per the guidelines issued by the Directorate of Education of Delhi, the forms will be made available from January 2 to January 16 though some schools are selling forms for a shorter duration. The entire process of admission will have to be completed by March 31. The schools will have to publish the first list of selected candidates by February 1 and second list by February 28.

Presidium is giving points to the child whose parents are in any noble profession/cause. Which is screening of parents.

What is meant by this noble cause and who all comes under this ?

I think "doctors" come under noble proession

ok Thanks ... Does CSR ( Corporate Social Activites) comes under this catagory?

Professions where people serve with honor, distinction and courage. Medicine, the military, church pastors, priests and teachers too include I feel.

As per the information that we got initially, the application forms in all school will cost only 25/- whereas the prominent schools like, Tagore International, Vasant Vihar, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vasant Vihar and Birl Vidya Niketan, Pushp Vihar are selling the Prospectus alongwith the application form costing from 100-350/- per form. How far it is justified??
