Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools
Parents are requested to not put generic queries but contribute with admission details if they are aware of any school. This would help parent community only and not break the continuity.
AS WE ARE DOING THIS FROM LAST 3-4 YRS WE WOULD BE FOLLOWING THE MAIN TREND, THE ADMISSIONS INFORMATION WOULD ALSO BE AVAILABLE ON THE DELHI ADMISSION OPEN GROUP ALSO, AS SOME TIMES PARENTS ARE NOT ABLE TO LOCATE THIS THREAD
THE LINK FOR ADMISSIONS OPEN IN DELHI 2012-2013 GROUP IS GIVEN BELOW

VIS sector 10 i s much better
Unfortunately I have a normal child. Unfortunately he's a boy. Unfortunately I have not adopted him. Unfortunately I have not divorced his mother. Unfortunately he does not have special needs. Unfortunately he can't get admission in any good school in Delhi. :(
same is the case with me.
All good specially the old one where major part of general seats are given to alumni and siblings. I am really doubtful if my child could get into good school.
I have already filled up form of around 25-30 schools and still wondering.
filled and deposited the forms too in 25 - 30 schools? how did you manage with most schools working only 9 AM to 12 Noon.
So you gotta pay for your virtues :)
Well, most of us are in the same boat and results are still not out. Lets not assume things and loose hope beforehand!
++++ unfortunately we are not an alumni + unfortunately do not have sibling of our child studying in same school / no sibling + unfortunately no money to pay donation for management quota seats.
Now brighter side the other fortunate ones will get multiple admissions and there will be second and third lists for us unfortunate ones. Bite nails in the mean time :-)
Since there is a management quota, its again time for politicians / schools to rake in donation money ranging in lacs...
@ Jaspreet: The Delhi Govt feels you do not deserve to tutor your kid in a good school .. since you are so unfortunate :(
i totally agree with you Jassi !!!!!!!
the unfortunate scenario which most parents face but it seems the govt doesn't see this and wants our house to be having problem sof all sorts to get points for admission of the child....
My mom is teacher in a govt school. I asked her if there is a similar scene in govt schools for admissions. Not anymore she said. Everyone is going for EWS in pvt schools. I recall even govt schools turning away people before this EWS thingie came around. Govt has put its inadequacy on the rest of us.

New Delhi As parents queued up outside schools to get children admitted into nursery (pre-school) classes, the Delhi High Court on Friday made clear that the age criteria of 3+ for admission into nursery classes was valid and could not, therefore, be challenged. The court said the only contentious issue was whether private schools in the city could be permitted to treat nursery as the feeder class for admitting children in pre-primary (KG).
This, the court said, was an issue since there could be some parents who did not want to send children to nursery but were compelled to do so because of the existing practice of schools promoting children from nursery and not allowing horizontal admission into KG.
While hearing a petition that challenged the Delhi government order allowing unaided private schools to go ahead with admission of 3+ children in nursery classes, a division bench of Acting Chief Justice A K Sikri and Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw sought to put to rest the controversy over the age criteria.
The court also accepted that the schools had to conduct nursery classes not as formal schooling, and preferably from a building not attached to the main school.
“We accept that there should be different infrastructure for nursery classes but where is the controversy regarding the 3+ age criteria? There can be no bar to admission of the 3+ children as long as they are segregated from formal schooling. Modalities of how and in what manner can these nursery classes be held can be discussed separately but there cannot be an issue regarding the age,” the bench told advocate Ashok Agarwal, appearing for petitioner NGO Social Jurist.
Agarwal said the age criteria became an issue when children in nursery were promoted to KG and so on. Such promotion, he said, could not be allowed as it coerced parents to admit children into nursery.
During the hearing, the Directorate of Education and the association of private schools said legally they could hold nursery classes to prepare children for elementary education.
The court decided to go through all relevant documents, previous court orders as well as legal provisions and said it would hear arguments again on Monday.
