Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools
Dear Parents ... I must share one confusion floating around and seek for your guidance ...
What to do in case you are on rented accommodation for more than couple of years and have PP/V-ID/DL mentioning address of your native place, Chandigarh in my case.
Do the schools in Delhi expect only landlords and permanent residents of Delhi to be eligible for education for their kids only? Why do a person need to get changed V-ID, DL or Passport on rented accommodation address, while all these items need Permanent address of yours to be mentioned and adhered there..
Bal Bharti PitamPura and New Era Rajouri seems to have these expectations...
Govt has seriously confused the whole process to give undue advantage to Schools to milk noble citizens of India...

dear Vaneet....as you are in this forum you must be also aware how troublesome it is becoming to get your ward admitted to a good school....
now about the rent deed etc. every body knows how easy it is to get a non registered rent agreement..and the schools do not have any mechanism to check the whether applicant is actually residing at the given address or is it being mentioned for the purpose of securing points in the distance criteria....and we all know how much honesty we generally show in matters such as these...so may be schools have opted this criteria instead of getting complaints later regarding false address proofs have been submitted by the people...
bu it does eliminate all applicants than having permanent address in delhi .. which would be part of V-ID/DL/PP ( all need permanent address)...
yes i too agree to the point and that is the main reason for a change in our education policies...there should be some uniformity in rules for admission...every school is coming up with it's own set of rules and YES IT IS NOTHING BUT MONEY MAKING GIMMICKS....and govt too is more interested in making money rather than providing quality education.
as you have also mentioned these kind of requirements are clearly cutting out people native of other states in delhi or people not owning their own houses...same is case about alumni points....
another important point is sibling preference...many people are complaining about the high sibling points/prefernce...but havent we all studied in same school as our brothers/sisters in our childhood....and ofcourse every parent wishes to get his children to be in same school as it saves efforts of different transportaion and PTMs etc
1 ) MTNL landline bill is accepted as a valid residence proof predominantly in many schools
2 ) Or alternatively, try with latest Income Tax proof submssion (which is expected to hold your currently residing address). In the case of Income Tax document submission (as residence proof), please try to inform upfront to the admission authority about this fact. (e.g., in the case of Vishwa Bharati School in Dwarka Sector6, where MTNL Landline bill was not accepted as residence proof, I tried this option which was accepted)
