It is so difficult to admit your child in the schools i was waiting for those schools where i have filled the form just for the sake of formality and it is under 1 KM to my residence still her name didnt come in the list and yesterday i met with one parent whose from mansrover garden and she was also having the first born girl child but her daughter name came in new era and my daughter's name was not there. see the point system

Dear Sumit,
I applied to 12 schools ...and could not get any seat in any of their lists ( selected / waiting) . And reason was common ....neither alumni nor sibling. Only in one school Gyan Bharati , Saket, we had alumni points and were hoping to get success there...but unluckily they changed their selection criteria this time by opting for OPEN DRAW ...whom should i blame now? A system which is following point system or a system opting for open draw? in both cases we hv lost . What is the suggestion for us now?

We applied in 14 schools, we got call from Maxfort Dwarka, Queens Valley, RD Rajpal and St. Marks Girls School at Meera Bagh almost 10 days ago and wr told to block seat and submit fees bfore first list comes out, which we dint. We wr waiting for Schools of our choice, now what shud we do? Shall we go to one of the above schools and seek admission, if yes which one is the best? How is VVDAV as compared to all these schools? We stay at Old Mahavir Nagar, Tilak Nagar and we our child is first born girl child, shall we wait for 2nd list of schools of or choice? Or we shud try for any source, please suggest Mr. Vohra!

Sir when you got through above 4 schools, then go and admit your ward.... What are you waiting for??? You are amongst very lucky parents...

Dear all, Delhi goverment should be ashaemd of whats happening in Delhi... I am staying in South Delhi applied in 27 schools almost all schools in south Delhi.But my son has no place in any school. The schools are just making a mockery of the point system., the points for distance are so less compared to others that its insignificant.
Every school follows its own way of points distribution, look at Birla Vidya Niketan...90 % of the shortlisted candidates are Girls..so it will be changed to Birla Kanya Vidya Niketan.
LPS and KRM GK-2 decleared results, candidates with lower points are selected but whu my son is not there...When asked school authorities misbehaved.
Indian school did the draw for selective candidates ...based on what criterion..no idea...
Why so much troubles to common man.... are we going the Libiya-Egypt way..where only a certain set of people were preferred and common men always neglected.....

Dear Sandeep, all of us are in the same boat. I also applied in 26 schools of South Delhi and couldn't even make it to my own school where I had studied throughout my life. According to the Government, we are the new minority and congratulations, without any kind of quota! The government is only interested in their vote bank...after few years there will be a new minority called General category middle class and the kids you see begging on the roads..those will be our kids thanks to the new education system!! The only chances of success for our future kids(if the govt. doesn't change these criterias again in future):
1.Buy a house next to the school you prefer, infact just next to its boundary (should give u maximum points!)
2.Divorce your present wife (you get extra points for being single parent) OR
3.Divorce your wife & marry a girl from another religion and you'll get extra points for Cultural integration
4.Try to give birth to only girl child (as if that was in our hands!!)
5. Don't make the mistake that your parents made..make your child join the school where he'll get alumni points for his children :)
