My daughter is 2 yrs and 9 months - which school do i get her admitted too - Is 3 yrs a hard cut off or schools are willing to compromise on 2-3 months . I am looking at Gurgaon SNS, Suncity , Shikshantar

@navniet - 3years /3.5 yrs age should be as on 31st March 2013. I guess you are looking for next year admission right? My daughter's age is also the same. She is november 2009 born and she is eligible in SNS for nursery for 2013-2014 session. I dont know about the age criterion of Suncity and Shikshantar.

Ritu - I was looking at admission now , wont next year be too late. My daughter is also Nov 2009 born , can be admit them now

you mean mid of session?

I know Lotus Valley accepts mid term admission if they have opening. I don't know about other schools. The same case with my  daughter, since we are moving there in October.

Yes mid session .. Does sns accept

I dont think any school will accept mid session for 2.9 year old.

hey navniet,

2.5yrs as on 31st march 2013 for pre nursery

3.5yrs as on 31st march 2013 for nursery

Hope this article from a parent will help -

Just want to know why is fees so high in shiv nadar Gurgaon? Lotus valley comes around 10000 pm including transport while shiv nadar is 12500 wih transport? Their current building will also come down and the new one will take at least 1-2 years. What's the difference?

Hi, I was an active member of this site last year for my kids admission to nursery in Gurgaon.

We got through Suncity, Shikshantar, DPS 45, Amity (Amiown)... we finally chose Suncity.

Per our experience over last 5 months, we are more than happy about our decision. Suncity is an excellent school with great teaching, imbibing of values, one of the best infra, respect for parents, parent teacher interaction, school activities, learning .......all this can be seen with a whole new confidence in my son over last 4-5 months.....many of my colleagues / friends have their kids in Suncity in various classes, all of them have the same feedback.

I'd recommend Suncity to  all...visit the school, interact with them - and you will know if it suits you.

Hi Gaurav, thanks for the feedback on Suncity. We got through pre-nursery and admitted our son there. Could you throw a little more light on their curriculum and focus on extra-curricular activities/sports. Thanks!
