Pooja ,the school has big name but we have mixed feedback of school (see gautamsarin's) comment how they exacted money last year and one parents wants to school after 2 years and few did not opt for school after getting admission( that was because of ideology). if you see featured members picture icon on home page (on right below login) you can click nidhi and gautam sarin's icon. just click on their icon to see their homepage and comments.

I attended an orientation session at goenka today
As far as campus is concerned it would be ready by march.
Nursery wing is almost ready.
Infrastructure wise I believe it's 2nd to none in gurgaon
We met the headmistress and found her great.
Seems school has got gr8 potential

Yesterday on 7th Sep I was scheduled for interaction at Amiown, Sec 27 Gurgaon for Nursery Admission. Reading the Amiown thread in other discussions I thought they would ask to fill a questioner and later take out first list. So I went alone and not take my kid with me.
The admission coordinator rescheduled my interaction today saying kid should be present. So I think they are doing direct interaction in Gurgaon. Also they seems to be very particular on documents. I have already put my ward in Lotus Valley so I am not interested much in the Amiown. They scheduled 94 Parents yesterday and process is till 17th Sep...I guess atlease 800 Parents have applied in GGN Amiown. I am sure they will be very slow to declare the final result so better to take admission in schools which offer admission immediately and of your choice.

Why do people find it so hard to read and understand instructions? It was clearly stated on the website and in the form that the applicant(kid) must be present and also what all documents need to be braught along.

why should the kid accompany the parent? It is violation of RTE Act? Why parents are supporting the schools violating RTE Act? Why can the parents not raise the point to the school. Please oppose. Say why do you want the kid to be present? It is against the provisions of RTE Act. That is why problem comes to the parent community.

we parents are a scared community.At a school i went, a parent in front of me was asking the school staff, will the school admit whoever is in a position to the pay the fees, to which the staff said since the admission is per a draw of lots, they are unable to control who gets selected.The said parent was quite furious.So maybe the school and we parents both are confused .

U r absolutely right but can we as parents do anything..the answer is NO..I am happy to see that atleast u r aware of the RTE act & have courage to speak in public.

Sarabjit, how was ur interaction with amiown yesterday ? did they allow ur kid to do something or ask any questions to ur kid ? as in my case it was document verification and then directly take us to 1 lady and she asked some Qs & thats all.
They said that results will be declared in few days ?

hey yeah same process for us. But the lady told us, result wud be out in 1 month. Did she say few days to you or 1 month? She asked my kid 2-3 questions but my son was too shy and didnt answer. Not sure what she thought abt it. What questions did she ask you? any hints she gave on whether yours was a +ve or -ve one?

its hard to say whether +ve or -ve, but she asked few Qs to us like how I play with her after my office hours and how my wife treat her @ home etc. Only in general Qs nothing special and yes she also told us that after 3-4 weeks the result will be out on website. but it doesn't seems to be a gud school, whats ur opinion ?
