Which one is better? Holistic based or academic (considering the competiitive environment in India)?

Dear Vandana

I have seen many parents taking their kids out most sought after traditional school in Delhi Ncr ( some of them were  close friends of mine)  after 3rd or 5th Grade.

Holistic based learning  is better as now parents don't want rote learning and want overall development of child.

Thanks Mr.Sumit...But I am highly confused as my kid is through in Kothari and if my kid gets an admission in Amity too,which is the best option to select for him..

As per my husband,Kothari International is a brand only in Noida and not many people outside Noida are recommending the same and obviously they are in the favour of Amity International..I m confused! Please help!

Hi All,

I completed my daughter's admissions in Nursery Yesterday at Shiv Nadar School Noida. This school was in my mind since last year.

Shiv Nadar's admission process is very simple and transparent. No interview neither of parent nor of child philosophy behind this is ," Student should come from diverse culture, if you are taking parent or child interview that means you are searching specific mind set and this will kill diversity in school".  

I have just filled only Two school's form that was Shiv Nadar and Amity, Mayur  and Sommerville International 132 were another schools in my mind as a backup plan. For me in selecting a school couple of things are important a) How far school is from your home (It should be as near as possible from you place)? b) How good the teachers and Principal are? c) Does School allows natural growth of the student and develop creative thinking? d) Does school focus on our values and culture? e) Academics and Sports? f) Schools Motto/ Philosophy?

I found most of the answer in favor of Shiv Nadar School.

Answers of above points were in my favor as:

a) I will be moving within one kilometer from the School next year. 

b) I Spoke to couple of known teachers of Noida's top notch schools, they said Shiv Nadar's Salary is among best in Industry (Best salary automatically leads getting best teachers). I listen School Principal in Orientation, She is also good. This point again came in my favor of SNS.

c/d/e) I did some research (One of my friend's daughter goes to Shiv Nadar Gurgaon) and got answer in School Orientation. These were again in school's favor.

f) Please listen Shiv Nadar (HCL's Boss) on YouTube. You would love to listen him and you will get answer of last point.

Last but not the least thanks to admissionsnursery.com, I did huge reading on this portal.
