any review of MatriKiran, sohna road?

Matrikiran - even being so new and less students, why are they not considering the age criteria... my daughter is dec 2009 born, they refused to take her in pre-nursery this year. not sure whats the scene with nursery.....has anyone tried?

In my opinion Heritage is a better school, atleast for the primary education of a child.

So if someone is not very far-sighted and thinks that what is more important right now is the present development and confidence of a child when he\she is very young, should opt for Heritage over DPS.

Moreover,if u r putting your child in nursery at the moment,he/she will reach class 7 or 8 in another 10 years which is a lot of time to be worrying about senior schooling.I think during these ten years there is going to be a huge development in the education sector in Delhi-Ncr(infact allover India) with so many upcoming and promising ventures already coming up.So keeping that in mind i personally think one must opt for the best present opportunity.

Tarun, well said. That was our thought process too. We are thinking till class 5 to 6. And during this period i want my child to be exposed to multiple disciplines and methods of teaching to bring the best out in her. Possible stress more on her non-academic side. Here Heritage ticks all the right boxes. Even Shikshantar. But then, the latter seems a bit more progressive than my confidence would allow. Maybe I need to understand Shikshantar's methods a bit more(and after the results are out!)

Post 5th or 6th, i might think of shifting her to a DPS kind of school which would stress more on academics.

However, the idea is not to leave the shift too late or the child might find the shift & pressure too much to handle and not too early as i do not want her to spend her formative years filling up registers writing the alphabets.

Blue bells or Ryan? Please suggest for my friend

Shail,Bluebells has good feedback on academic front

Hello friends mine kid gets shortlisted in SALWAN PUBLIC SCHOOl in lotry system and also selcted in Manav Rachna for nursery.

Can you suggest which is better out of these two.

We also got admission in MAURYA and Shallom hills

Please help me to take decision in MRIS/SALWAN:- i have to submit 75 K tomorrow.

MRIS ia quite sought after for holistic development and academics.( New age school). > Salwan( Traditional school.(Only focus on academics)

Dear Mr Umesh,

I have also submit the form of salwan, but didn't get any intimation on date of DOL uptil now. Please let me know in which category you have been shortlisted in draw?

I have also submitted the form of salwan but didnt recieved any call or updates.

I had a word with the incharge of admissions of the school and she told me that if you didn't get sms/mail regarding DOL then it means you have not been selected for DOL. Acc. to her they have done first screening on the basis of points which were based on neighbourhood, sibling etc. She also told me that it should be minimum 40 %  but acc.to my calculation our should be 55 points as we bothe r post graduate so 50 points for that and left 5 for girl child. She didn't disclose our points but informed that we had not been selected for the draw :( so not sure how they have calculated the points :(

Ok Thanks Vandana!
