The age criteria for Nursery class in Gurgaon sucks big time, schools have their own age criteria and admission timeline. A kid just cannot suffer because of few days or weeks. Moreover a kid qualifies for nursery for some school and KG for others because of a non-standard age cutoff.
An issue which needs resolution asap!

Registration fees of all the schools in noida are reasonable. But registration fees which DPS Indirapuram is charging ie Rs. 2500 is too much......... Moreover the withdrwal amount in all the schools vary from 15 k to 20 k which is also on a higher side..... There shud be a norm of deducting a maximum of 5000 rs.

I will be moving to Gurgaon from the US in Jan 2013. Some schools like Shikshantar refused to let the child's grandparents attend the PI or take the fee and did not entertain us. What are people like us suppose to do?

Apart from uniform admission schedule, age criteria and uniform admission process, parents can come forward with any other difficulties they are facing like screening parents and kids, fee refund policy, fee hike, if school gives priority for play school during admission, not giving prefernces for neighbourhood or sibling, other irregularties in admission process etc.

Want to ask about fee refund policy, why they are not refunding the amount . If someone wants to withdraw the name of the child from a school why they can't do that. We are ready to give a minimum amount whether it's 3000 or 5000 but not refunding anything that all i want to know. and second thing the screening of parents and kids. Kids are so moody they can't give answer you sometimes even when they know the answer. and if parents are not so sound or don't speak English their kids won't get admission why?

Totally agree with garima. Why the admission fee is not refunded. When they are getting a new admission and thus the admission fee in case someone withdraws the child, what gives them the right to retain 30k or even 60k of the admission fee.

Why is sibling case not compulsary for school . It should be compulsary for school to give admissions to siblengs . As a matter of fact they keep parents hanging till end of the admission process and if child gets admitted some where else before , parents waste the money to get the seat reserved to handle worst case scenario

I just wanted to address a serious issue that whether Govt. and its ministers have also stake in the donation or so called admission fee which the School charges. Otherwise why don't Govt. take action against Schools. Due to this, Schools are increasing every type of charges year by year despite getting the land at throwaway prices and all the perks from Govt.

I want to know about the registration fees with form charges which the mostly schools of Ghaziabad are taking.Like we purchase Jaipuriya school's form they take 500 rs form and 1k registration fees, DPS Indirapuram also taking 2k for registration and 500 for form, DPS Vasundhara also taking 1k for registration.What is this registration fee means I could not understand.

I also agree with Garima that small kids don't need any screening.Some kids didn't manage the situation and cried it doesn't mean they are not eligible for their school and what is the meaning of parents interviews.I can understand the interaction process of parents but what is the meaning of interview, that tell me about your job profile and how much experience do you have.
