Delhi nursery admissions to begin in January

Schools in the NCR are already winding up their nursery admission proces s, but it seems schools in Delhi will have to wait a little longer. The directorate of education (DoE) has said Delhi schools will start the process only in January. Parents have already started doing rounds of schools with anxiety building up for the annual admission process. Many have taken up seats in the NCR schools just to be secure before admissions in Delhi begin. DoE officials said all schools will follow a uniform schedule for admission to nursery in the academic session of 2013-14. " The nursery admission schedule over last few years has proved to be quite comfortable for parents. So we will most probably begin the process for the next session from January 1," a senior DoE official said . He also assured that the parameters adopted by every recognised private unaided school will be first approved by the government. According to DoE officials, there are nearly one lakh nursery seats across 1,200 private unaided schools in the city. " Many schools in Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurgaon are already through with their admission process but we do not want to start the process as of now. As the admissions are for next year, starting early will only make the process long," the official added.

mam my daughter is of 2008. i m worried abt her admission becoz many schools says they are not taking k.g admissions so pls guide me wt to do how can i overcome this issue pls help me

mam the dob is 3rd october 2008 and i am in mayur vihar phase 3

Ok then she would be eligible for kg (4 yrs) on 31 mar 2013 so you should join kg-12 group on homepage

But schools like ahlcon public gave extra points for 4 plus children for nursery (as there is no upper cut off by doe)

did you apply in ahlcon public last yar ?

Hello Mam

We are putting up in mayur vihar and my son's dob is 21.08.2009.

How good are our chances of getting shortlisted at ahlcon public school

as we are really counting on that school.

Based on last year's criteria we haxe 60 points.

What are the other parameters of selection??
