2 kids molested in I’puram schoolBoth are three-and-a-half years old; 25-year-old caretaker arrestedGHAZIABAD: Two pre-nursery students — both three-and-a-half years old — were allegedly molested by a caretaker of Mother’s Pride school in Indirapuram in the national capital region. Police arrested the school caretaker, Sher Singh, on Tuesday. About two months ago, the driver and conductor of a school bus were arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a six-year-old girl student of DPS, Vasundhara. The molestation case came to light on Tuesday, when one of the children refused to attend school. When her mother, who happens to be a teacher at the same school, enquired, she said the caretaker had molested her and a classmate during recess. The girl also told her mother that the caretaker had done this quite a few times and warned them not to mention it to anyone. Twenty-five-year-old Singh has been employed with the school for the past three years. The victim’s parents claimed to have reported the matter to the school authorities on Tuesday morning and were assured by the school authorities that immediate action would be taken. But they alleged that the school authorities did not report the matter to the police till late evening. Gorakh Nath Yadav, station in-charge of Indirapuram police station said, “We have arrested the accused and booked him for molestation. Police will investigate the role of the school authorities in the matter. Both students have been sent for the medical examination.” He added that police investigations were underway and they were questioning Singh, who would be produced in a Ghaziabad court on Wednesday |
In September, a six-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted by the driver and conductor of a reputed public school in Vasundhara. The incident had led to a huge public outcry. Due to public pressure, the school authorities had finally admitted their mistake.
An inquiry had also been ordered by the district administration into the incident. However, the girl’s parents withdrew her from the school as they were not assured of child’s safety.
“Such cases are on the rise. The administration has to ensure that all kids, especially girls, are safe in schools. There is no fear of police among criminals.
School authorities must also be held responsible for the incident,” said col (retd) TP Tyagi of the Ghaziabad RWA Federation.
Acting swiftly, senior police and administration officials have already ordered an inquiry into Tuesday’s incident to be conducted by the district’s basic education officer.
“The inquiry will bring out all facts. If found guilty, action will be taken against school officials. We will also seek an explanation as to why no female caretakers were employed for the children,” superintendent of police (SP) SS Yadav told Hindustan Times. Police sources said that the accused has admitted to his crime.
Revealing more into the incident, senior superintendent of police (SSP) Prashant Kumar said though there were reports about two girls being molested, only one girl’s parents had filed a complaint.
“If anyone has more complaints, they can freely approach the police. As of now, there is no need for the girls’ medical examination,” the SSP added.

A working lady known to me put her kid in Mother's Pride, Dwarka branch and called class teacher to know the feedback. And asked the teacher has my kid taken food and teacher replied yes he ate idli's well today and fine and for her surprise when she came home she found her kid has not gone to school that particular day. The next day gave a warning to the teacher for being careless. They boast of about individual attention given and don't know if the kid is present or absent at class.

I am sure, the parents of those two girls along with few parents must be fighting with the school management but why cant we join them.. Are we waiting to fight agst schools when our turn will come.. why.. we should fight now so that it should not happen with any parents again in future... we should punish this guy in such a way that before doing this anybody, will think N number of times.. he should afraid of his ANJAAM before doing these kind of acts.

I request all the parents that pls do not expect Sumit Vohra ji to do everything on our behalf. Let's do it TOGETHER. Everybody is expressing his/her views on the site but who is reading all this.... we all...... Any School management, our Government or concerned authority is reading this?? NO.. Then what's the use. Why can't we make a parents association.... Let's meet all the parents somewhere... Make association... Choose it's Members, CHAIRMAN no Dobut Sumit Vohra ji... and FIGHT AGAINST this dirty system and cheap government.
Let's demand for CCTV camera in all the schools.. Let's demand to make it compulsory... The girl child should not be live alone in school bus.. there should be two other maids... we are ready to bear the cost..SUMIT JI.. Pls suggest what we can do. ... let's meet parents at suitable central point.. If we come together, we can do a magic.. SUMIT JI I request to MAKE A HISTORY ONCE AGAIN... Let's fight against schools for safety of child.. Kabhi baccha school van se gir jaata hai, kabhi he lost his life due to an accident and sometime these shamed acts. COME ON PARENTS.. Pls spare your time for your kids... Before these incidents happens with us... demand for atleast CCTV Camera..

It's wake call for the parents!!
Let all parents form a Group, and make a strong representation in writing to SSP, District magistrate and the school authorities citing past incidents, and suggesting steps to be taken for protecting the child with deadline for its implementation across all schools in Delhi NCR.
Lets move forward or face the consequences !!

I think there is a need of at least 1 class/lecture per month to be given to caretakers, school bus drivers, conductors,teachers,support staff etc. of such schools having children of such age group, in which they must be taught what can be consequences(like jailed) of the molestation etc. on them and child's mind and who ever is doing he/she would definitely be cought

I am shocked to hear this.my daughter is 3.5 yrs old & she also goes to Mothers pride Indirapuram.These culprits should be punished severely.i am so scared for my daughter after listening to this incident.

Along with evrything must-be-done , another imp task on parents end is to try and educate/aware child about their private parts, As it's said- no one can touch them other than parents. Only then child would understand and oppose such henious acts and inform parents about the same. Also on daily basis parent should note every single reluctance/fear in child mood and ask them if ther's anybdy touching them in bad way.

This heinous act is not done with girls only we have to secure the our sons also from thic kind of acts.in one of the episodes of crime patrol it was shown how a class 6 boy was sodomised by his games teacher and how that teacher with the help of another male teacher (who asked for Rs. 1lakh from the games teacher for not saying his name) put the whole blame on another boy of senior standard? it was a reputed school of mumbai where dis all happened. i think in today's world we have to take care of our daughters and our sons also. being a mother of a boy i m really scared for my son's future.

Yes PArul true, because these culprits are not for genders they are mentally ill so boy or girl doesnt matter so much to them.
