Ghaziabad: Almost 100 parents staged a protest on Thursday outside the playschool in Indirapuram area of Ghaziabad where an employee had allegedly molested prenursery girls two days ago. The ensuing scuffle between the parents and the school management abated after the latter agreed to meet some of the demands of the protesters. The demands were related to increased security of students, participation of parents in the management of the school and greater accountability of all employees.
The management has also promised to arrange a meeting between the parents and the school’s chairperson, who has been absent during the entire episode.
The CEO of the school was present during the protest and assured irate parents that steps will soon be taken to increase security. “Most of the demands made by the parents are reasonable and things we were planning to do. These include installation of CCTV cameras, formation of a parent-teachers association for different classes and the presence of a female teacher in all
school buses,” said the CEO.
However, parents said their primary concern was to meet the chairperson who has not met any of them till now and addressed the molestation issue. According to the management, the chairperson is currently abroad and will be returning for the school’s annual day on November 20. “The school will remain closed till a meeting is held between the chairperson and a delegation of parents,” said a parent whose two-and-half-year-old daughter studies in the playschool.
Parents have also demanded that if anyone wishes to withdraw their children from the school after this incident, then their full fees should be refunded. “The CCTV cameras will be installed in the school premises before Diwali,” added the school’s CEO.
The Ghaziabad police said investigations were on and the prime accused was being questioned. He will be produced in court on Wednesday. A manhunt has also been lodged against the two school management employees against whom an FIR was lodged by the parents for threatening them to withdraw the case, said a officer.

School authorities assure parents, promise action -Hindustan Times

THE SCHOOL ASSURED THAT NO STAFF, OTHER THAN FEMALE EMPLOYEES, WILL BE ABLE TO GET AN ENTRY INSIDE THE CAMPUS

GHAZIABAD: Two days after the alleged molestation of two threeyear-olds at a playschool at Indirapuram, parents called off their protest after the school authorities on Thursday agreed to their demands and also promised to upgrade security and safety measures at the school.

On Thursday morning, scores of agitated parents sat on a dharna at Mother’s Pride school around 9pm. The protest continued till the CEO of the school arrived and faced the parents on issues such as safety and security of children. During an open debate between the CEO GS Matharoo and the parents, various questions were raised. The CEO later signed a letter, promising to address parents’ concerns at the earliest.

Various demands put forward by the parents included: installation of CCTV-cameras in the entire campus within a week, maintenance and routine helps will not carry mobiles on school campus, entire hierarchy of working staff to be verified by police officials, formation of parent-teacher association to hold regular meetings and also to resolve grievances.

The authorities assured that no staff, other than female employees, will be able to get an entry inside the school campus. Also, a female teacher will be deputed inside the school bus and will leave the bus only after ensuring that the last child is dropped.

“We have agreed to all demands of the parents. An inquiry has been ordered against other management employees over the incident,” Matharoo said. He claimed that the parent of the victim had given an application to withdraw the case lodged on Wednesday at Indirapuram police station against the management employees.

However, station-officer GN Yadav said that no such application was received and once an FIR is lodged, investigations would be carried out. He added that police were constantly searching for persons searching named in the FIR.

The school management clarified that the two employees who were terminated on Tuesday were sacked due to non-reporting of the incident to their senior management. The school will now reopen on November 17.

It is really disappointing to hear that kids are also not safe in Pre-Schools. 3 year old girls were molested in a renowned Pre-School in Indirapuram!! Everybody is cursing safety measures and management in that school but my question is about SICK MENTALITY of the people who do this!! This can happen anywhere without proper safety and security!! Schooling has become major business and there is no hold on there fee structure and bad attitude towards there responsibility!! Parents should be worried about other schools as well, because whatever is visible is not the only bad!! The schools after which we are running behind for admissions at any cost, with huge donations in some cases, who guarantees that this don't happens there!!

This news is very much horrible -. i also have fear being a girl child mother. Girl is not safe even at small age. Three year old kid don't know that what is wrong and what is wright.

How can we educate to our kids regarding that kind of molested. I think school also include some kind of the training to the kids so that they can aware about these bad things.

Scary things are happening these days. Even the print media, the renowned "Times of India" did not mention the name of the school in its newspaper. A few days back a similar case was reported for DPS Vasundhara, there too the school name was kept secret. I smell a nexus between school an print media ( except Hindustan Times) or is it something else?

Many newspapers are not publishing the names because they get big ads from these schools

This is really shameful incident. However somewhere in my back mind, I am relaxed too as I got my kid admitted but for some strange reason my wife forced me to with draw him. And one of those strange reasons was NO CCTV in classroom, which known to everyone now.

Couple of other reason#

2 teachers assigned to each class of 30 students with 2-3 maids. But reality is those teacher actually not care of kids. Maids having/eating the food in class room in break provided by school for kids.

Did anyone asked what sort of food is given to a 2 1/2 or 3 year old kid.. Pau-Bhaji. I never had such a thing in my break fast so how can I give this my or any other kid.

Good to hear that atleast parents unit and letting mgmt down to get basic needs fulfil. I strongly demand Transparency should come in school working with parents.

1. Why parents are not allowed during school time to see what their kid is doing in school?

2. Why teacher or management is afraid of meeting parents on a normal working day?

3. Why to wait of PTM only which happens once in a month or quarter?

4. And even I heard that school clear says that PTM is where teacher only speak and parents to follow where as parents cannot make suggestion or ask anything to teacher.. WHY?

nonsense logic.

u took ur kid out its ur prospective but dont give these strange logics behind ur decision.

we r discussing a very serious issue.

Yes, these are strange logics to you. Then why are you bothering about the issue happened at MP. If you think only molested is a seriours issue for our kids, then buddy there are lot many more if you check those.

I have no means to hurt anyone but truth is we do not want to see those small issue in this competative world and want kids to go to best school as we think.

What kind of journalism? Please publish the name of the school.
