Please see last year article in which Mr Ashok Ganguly (Ex-Chairman CBSE who derived point system) had also concurred with Mr Sumit Vohra ,when he had raised same point against Indian School and few other schools Transfer Points
http://www.deccanherald.com/content/228121/schools-manipulate-point...
Few schools have changed the purpose of transfer points and changed to transferable points and manipulating the results. DOE should clarify the transfer points criteria to be followed by the schools.
this is really alarming, that school is using the loop provided by DOE and some of the parent faking the transfer points. This is the system we are building.
The only way this is possible is if the parent got posted outside Delhi temporarily when the child was studying in Delhi and then shifted back. But these would be exceptions. The alarming numbers of such applicants does raise suspicions!
@ Santosh
DOE has issued guidelines to school as per the HC’s order which states that priority to be given to EWS students residing within less than one kilometre from the school instead of the earlier one-kilometre rule. Second preference will be given to those staying between one and three kilometres.
The third preference will be given to those living at a distance between three and six kilometres. Others residing beyond six kilometres from the school can get admission only if seats still remain vacant.
For "The Indian School"........
This is shocking.....How it is possible? If a person is transferd from other city availing the points for transfer and simultaneously receiving the points for sibling in the school.
Which fact is true? Either transfer from other place or sibling in the same school (The Indian School) ...............
My brother is living in delhi by birth. What an irony that his child does not comes in any criteria. child of a person comes just six month back has much higher point than my nephew. He won't get benefit of alumni as he was in govt. school of chandni chowk and now school is closed and in case school was open, he yet won't try in that school. a transfer case is in much better position then him. Sumit ji, your point fight is good but why always Delhites has to be in last line. In other state there is reservation upto 85% for locals but in Delhi it is reverse.
I think first child, sibling and transfer should be in same point table rather than having different point and this should be applicable to all schools.
In DPS sibling have 25 points and first child have 10 points. Distance has 20 to 5 point marking. The first shortlist has min. 40 Points. If we calculate, girl who is first child and living in 3 km area was come in shortlist. Whereas any sibling near 7 km area are in. So sibling crashed the point calculation of all others. I am sure 90% are siblings.
And if we see practically first child don't have sibling in a school, transfer don't have first child in school. so these category should come in same table.
