Please give details of all the schools names asking for donation with amount , so that we have evidence to raise it to higher level.

Delhi International Public School Rohini has asked for Rs 60,000 (sixty thousand) as donation (in name of building fund charges). This amount needs to be paid in cash and no receipt will be given for the same.

Yes Even we are asked for the same and they mentioned that you have  only 3 days to pay the amount.

Under Right to Education, it is illegal for Schools to ask for Donation under any name like for example Development Fees. Please see the status in Gurgaon, most of the schools do ask for Donation in some or the other name (Like for Example, Non Refundable Deposit). Unfortunately there is no Law prohibiting collection of Capitation Fee in Haryana and the Schools openly flout the rules. In fact there is huge discrepancy in the Quarterly fee collected school wise. I don't know how the Schools arrive at the Quarterly fee figure. Also, according to the Law, it is illegal to collect any fee other than the Quarterly Tuition Fee. I don't know how many parents know this fact.

Yes Aditi you are right schools are supposed to charge only monthly fee at a time.

How can we make sure that students do not bear the brunt in Gurgaon where no Prohibition of Capitation Fee Act exists..should we send legal notices to the schools. Also in most schools in Gurgaon, the teacher-student ratio is 30:1, ideal should be not more than 15:1. Is there some way out that schools become answerable, because the Constitution of India advocates Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. We want to make sure that every child gets educated and not only the child whose parents can afford to pay the fees+donation. Please parents, give your suggestions and let us prevent commercialisation of education.

Well highlighted by Mr.Vohra. Donation for schools are asked in name of Document Verification from Rs.30 to Rs.2.5 lakh till date for the admission process this year and schools have even fixed half rate of the full donation amount for siblings.

I request parent to complain with DOE and highlight here too for serious action. You can also inbox to Mr.Vohra or Sakshi Mam if not in open.

I request DOE to implement the Act and the penalty against the schools and act very seriously and act immediately on the complaints filed by parents.

How to file complaint againt these donation demand from school. I tried the website of DOE but could not locate any place to file complaint. Can anyone help on this.
