Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools
Age barriers are there in few schools like ASN Mayur Vihar, Father Agnel etc. If your child is above 4 years then it is not possible to apply / entry in these schools. After verdict, it would be removed the age barriers.. Kindly advise. This is question ?
@jaya Yes if this admission process is scrapped, all school specific criteria goes including age barrier.
Even when verdict is not out why people are trying to make so much hue and cry. Why they were silent when open corruption and biased admission based on point system was going on. Have they even bothered to raise a complaint of 500 characters at DOE website.
Lets have faith in HC, its much better situation then believing in School Mgmts and DOE.
Morever, one can find fairly good number of schools to select in Radius of 3 or 5km. If no, even today with current point system, one can get admission in a good school which is more than 10km away either based on sibling/alumni points or paying donation.
Sakshi, I think many parents would want to know why the courts are acting at this point of time on a PIL filed two years ago. It's not always really/exactly about who filed it. Do you have a timeline of this PIL that you could share with us?
Aditi, i think school lobby is very strong and were able to delay things.
Neighbourhood criteria is also against RTE. Why is that child born in outer delhi is not considered to study in the central delhi school ? Just because his parents do not own a house in central delhi ?? What does RTE say about it ?
If the reasoning of travelling long distances for child to far away school is given, Then I have a counterpoint - What if the parents give undertaking that they will shift to some location nearby school, then will the admission be given ??
This neighbourhood criteria also gives rise to profiling of the child to some extend !!!
Don't you think the neighbourhood criteria does away with profiling of schools to a large extent? Why should central delhi schools be called 'prestigious' and others called 'faaltu'? By having neighbourhood criteria we will make all schools 'prestigious'.
Sibling criteria is always valid. I don't know why people are against it.
It is not possible for parents to send two children in different schools.
why Mr. vohra is silent on this?
:) ANIL, Mr Vohra has gone to studio and when he has given statement in biggest hindi daily NBT TODAY he need not come and clarify it again and again . BUT I CONCUR WITH YOU ANIL .
Mr. Anil the only reason why many parents want this criteria removed is because it provides unfair advantage to a select few people. Kids without sibling points do not even make it to the lucky draw stage.
This criteria must be removed. First born children also have a right to education and they should get an EQUAL opportunity while applying for a school.
If the sibling points are removed, then the points for first born child should also be removed.
65 years of independence.. and we are still struggling for admission policy that too in the capital of the Country:-)
