For Poonam Rathore, the nightmare has just begun. Even though the Education Department’s announcement on October 28 that all schools across the Capital will have to follow a fixed schedule for nursery admissions starting from December 15 did bring relief, she soon found a few schools have already started registrations.

In clear violation of the Directorate of Education (DoE) order, many schools have set their own timetable for nursery admissions.

“When the Directorate gave the order, I relaxed a bit, but then my friends told me a few schools have started online registrations,” said Rathore. “I did not want to miss out.”

Bhatnagar International Foundation School, Vasant Kunj, starting its first nursery session, is one of them. The school website says the registration process is on. Parents are being asked to fill up information forms. They claim the school has started interaction with parents. Devender Khemani, who visited the school for his son’s admission, said, “I did fill up the information form, which was like a registration form. The school said that they would call me.”

Khemani claimed the school asked him to pay Rs 55,000 to ‘reserve’ the seat. “They told me that if I paid, my son’s seat would be confirmed.” He would be considered a “fresh case” after December 15, if he failed to make the payment, the school reportedly told him.

School authorities, when contacted, said, “We haven’t started registrations process. They will start only from December 15, but you can fill up the registration form and then the school will call you

Rathore said, “I want my daughter to get admitted to a good school, but don’t know whether I should apply to schools now. We don’t even know whether or not the fees we deposit will be refunded later.”

After the DoE order on October 28, many schools like Convent of Jesus and Mary and St Columba’s postponed their admissions.

Several schools — New Era Junior School, Rajouri Garden, Presidium School, Kids Way at Pusa Road, Vivek Summit at East Patel Nagar — have already started the admission process or are about to start soon. Parents are left wondering whom to follow — the DoE or the schoolsOther schools, mostly around Dwarka, that have not stopped nursery admissions are — Nirmal Bharatiya School (started on November 1 after the DoE order was announced), MBS International School (September) and Shanti Gyan Niketan.

Director Education, P Krishnamurthy, said, “Nobody has filed a complaint. Somebody has to complain for us to take action. We’ve issued notices to schools that had started the admission process (three branches of Bal Bharati Public School that Newsline had reported).

He added that no new guidelines have been new issued to the schools. “Last year’s guidelines are being followed this year as well.”

i and my colleague have posted 10 inland letters by registered post to the concerned ministeries and departments.
a parent from my kid's play school to whom i had introduced the idea has faxed 5 faxes.
and beleive me this effort was more than the worth of the best of presents i give to my kid on children day. It gives me such a high to do my bit of responcibilty.

so a dharna or letter campaign, whatever one is comfortable with but we all must do some positive corrective efforts. i realized this after reading 7/11 of sumit ji, and posts of rahul ji and deepak ji

Mr gulati u have shared your ignited views here, for things to make reality we all have to join together. My view is that we should take the culprit to the task not every one means if we find fault with single school complaint to DOE to media, here, everywhere by the name of school having details like the name of dealing person in the school then also to whom the complaint was made that is the name and designation of the officer at least when the authorities had to answer due to media or other pressure they cant keep on blaming one anotther then it will asked to respective officer that on so and so date a complaint was recieved by you this is the complaint number what action u had taken.
One more thing we can do we can from a team and i say someone had problem with admission system in school X and he wants his son to study in that school and is afraid of complaining then any one of us who doesnt have intrest in that school can get details from him verify personally or on phone and go forward and complaint against them this way the work will also be done without affecting us.
These are just my views and i am going to do the same

we all know what kind of struggle one has to do

we all know some parent last year did not succeeded in getting admission for theirkids

feb - march we will see many parent complaining...

sadness and tears...sorrow failure....

i have read one post in which one mother said that her child asked

mama yahhan bhee admission naheen mila?
and that mom eyes might have tears that moment

imagine in 20 schools we will forms and not even one school offer us admission

even all kinds of links and approaches and contacts fail...when we need them most
I also remember discussing with other father who never felt handicapped and lost
i also remember when last year in december a strong oppositionwas started agsint school a strogn team wasbuilt... but more than 20000 posts were deleted which wld have been very important for parent this year.

this include lots of statements of different parent against schooll.

lots of other things which were not appreciated.. and thus our moment was strengthen for parent this year and coming year

all those who were witness of this scene supported us and made this forum a big success.

yes it was all because of our MEDIA

after that schools asked everyone not to bring kids
they got so scared that they phoned/email each and every single parent and informed

i m bit confused about whats cooking in here?searched the thread again but cudnt find the post where sujoy used harsh words.sujoy and anupriya same person with different ids?sounds like a plot.may be our webmaster can check the ip address of both of them.can anybody put some light on what went wrong?

Dear Deepak,

First Mr Sujoy had full interest in knowing about Ndtv program (c that thread aashine explaining) then he wanted to know about last year s AMIOWN interview stopping ...when aashine asked her about his decision he misbehaved and today used his diffrent id(what was his intention of knowing the program )

both the id's did not have any contact no/mob no detail

he misbehaved with subhash/reena with different ids

when both of the id's were requested for authetic proof they refused and used rude/abusive langauage

ok got it now,so u blocked their ids?i got a gift from anupriya today,i cudnt open her profile,i wanted to know who is this person but thr is no hyper link on the gift section.guess its been banned or blocked.
anyways,seeing u after few days,u r done with final stages of ur book's publication sumit bhai?
i wud like to buy its first copy signed personally by u.i can pay premium over the retail price to lure u......may be 20-30 years down the line my kids wud put it on auction as a piece of history,and a proof of an Era which started with this site.
