Hello,
We have a joint family and the address proof (MTNL bill) is on my mother's name (i.e. child's grandmother) and the rent agreement (court registered) is on my real brother's name ...
My and as well my wife's permanent address proof is of different address and that still belongs to us within close proximity to where we are currently residing...
can we show out present address as proof of residence if we show relation via passport and submit documents as either of follows:
1. copy of MTNL bill on child's grandmother name + passport of child's father
2. rent agreement copy + brother's passport copy + self passport copy to show relation.
Alternatively we have airtel landline bill on child's mother name but not sure if that is acceptable ..
How about going with affidavit for address ..
Kindly advise urgently
Regards
-Amit

Hi Sandhya,
Thanks for your reply and time ...However I was able to find out the solution towards the same ..Just forgot to update on the site ..
All the schools (wherever I applied) accepted the following:
1. MTNL bill on my mother's name
2. Affidavit/Xerox of same.. on behalf of my mother stating the relation and acknowledging that I am residing with her and my permanent address is something else ..(format is available at notary)
While submitting the documents apart from those mentioned above and confirming from the respective schools, I submitted following as well to be on safer side be more clear.
1. Airtel bill on my wife's (i.e. child's mother) name
2. Copy of my passport which has my mother/wife's name along with permanent address embedded - To show relation
None of the schools raised any concern on the same.
Regards
-Amit
