This point system should be eradicated. lots of parents are facing problems because of point system.
i agree with mansi....as it is proving to be bane and not boon....
we both are engineers but get zero points when it comes to getting our son admitted to dps rkpuram ( 0 -distance,0- govt officials,0- sibling,0-alumni,0- EWS,0- girlchild,0-separated) .
this is so frustating.......

Hi
Forms for DPS mathura road are not available on website. As I understand, DPS is accepting online forms during 15th Dec to 15th Jan 2010.

Don't know when will they release the forms on their website.

I am a legal guardian of my niece. Most of the admission forms and all other formalities require parents details to be filled. I am confused how to represent my case in front of schools. School admin staff does not have a clarity on this front. I am trying to get in touch with principle of one of the school, but they usually don't entertain. Different schools treat this issue differently
BUT SOME SCHOOLS HAS SPECIAL PROVISION FOR LEGAL GUARDIAN IN FORMS !!

Sir, I am staying at Rohini. Bal bharati pitampura does not allow rohini people to even fill the form though distance from my house to the school is just 4 km. In their online form they restrict only rohini people to fill the form though they cover pitampura, rani bagh even punjabi bagh etc. This is not at all fair on the school front to dictate the parents to admit their child in rohini branch only.
I agree with rekha, in all respects bal bharti pitampura is better than rohini branch but we are just discriminated because we are staying in rohini. Please raise this issue.

The problem with the point system has compounded, considering the weitage being given to govt service/sibling/alumini by the schools. With repect to the HC directive to Sanskriti of not giving any extra points for govt service parents , will this be corrected by the school. Will other schools follow the same directive?
-Point system is bane as mentioned by others not boon even for neighborhood schools schools are giving points for own safe transport for pre-nursery student if both parents ate working in most of the cases how will they have safe transport so no points
- Agree single parents getting more points in case of widow/widower/adopted - as these are natural causes and people need support but why in case of divorce. In some cases of divorce may be why all.
- Girl Child more points are we responsible we have boy and not girl it is not in individual hand its biological.
- More points to religious minority where is secularism
To end a normal middle class not on a high post not earning very high packages but has a happy family both parent and a single kid has no right to give that only child to give good education because they are happy so school authorities decide them to make unhappy by not giving points, they didn't had inter-caste marriage was obi dent to parents married were parents ask to in same cast so no points as not socially active . So sorry kids with one religion no admissions
