Salwan Public school has notified only certain parents qualification for the points system such as Scientist/Engineers/IIT/IIM Graduate --------however CA does not qualify in the list, does it mean that a Scientist or other professionals mentioned in the list have studied more or have more weightage in society than an CA

Schools have notified only certain specific documents which can be taken as residence proof for eg Springdales requires only the foll documents for address proof - Voter ID/PAssport , does that mean that documents such as Driving Licence or electercity bill , bank statement etc cannot be shown as address proof .
All the schools should have the same document requirement.

Mr.Vohra pls ask d president why they've created point system and on which bases so that all d parents would be able to understand that whether d schools are following DOE rules or playing with them?

hi sumit,
even i am totally against the point system,as i reside in naraina i stand nowhere due to this point system as there are no good schools near to naraina and i am not able to make any points for south delhi school.no criteria meets-neighbourhood,siblings,alumni,single parent,special needs child etc.
request to please raise this issue for sure.

1)Schools not following the DOE guidelines.Apart from the price of the form,they r not obeying the date of sale n submission of forms.All schools were supposed to sell from 15dec to 15 jan but still many r not following the guidelines.....
2)Unjustified point system- There is no good school in our area,rajouri garden. Thus the neighbourhood points r 0. Y should we suffer.
3)Even heritage rohini form is not uploading on the website......apart from DPS MATHURA ROAD
4)BBPS PP-weird neighbourhood points,really unjustified.
5)Some schools giving points so professionals but CA's not included...... Y

Sumit ji Can u tell what can we do as srijan is closing its admission on Jan 18. Others are displaying results on 1st Feb
Also many schools have written attested copies. Attestation by whom-self, competent authority or Gazetted officers. Pl help

There should be some similarity in point system. See for example DPS is giving 20 points each for sibling and Alumini so neat 40 points gone if yours is first child and you are not from DPS.

Total Violations of D.O.E guidelines as most schools are charging huge amounts of money for the admission forms. Also lot of schools are coming out with their results in early January and are saying that the shortlisted candidates will be charged admission fees anything from between Rs.20,000 to Rs.35,000 which will not be refunded. Please take up this issue in your discussion today evening.

We parents were complaining when there was no set criterias and admissions were interview based.
Now we are not satisfied with the point system. It is not possible to device a point system that satisfies all and one of parents. Some criteria or one of the criterias are bound to be against any and one of us.
So instead of finding only faults we also shud suggest what shud be done so that things are streamlined.
I suggest that DOE shud make uniform criterias for all schools whatsoever for the 80 points( across the board) and give 20 only for school specific.
This guideline is there from DOE but it is not followed religiously by schools and DOE is silent. The schools on the other hand is taking full advantage of the autonomy clause in the court orders and also that the schools only need to inform what criteria they are going to follow but what court really meant was that the schools only need to inform what criteria it is going to follow for those specific 20 points only but it DOE has allowed schools to manipulate the whole point system and do a backdoor sabotage.
i request sumit sir to kindly get things highlighted and clarified.
i had seen a discussion posted from past which suggested and formulated a centralised admission process devised by our predecessors. NOT able to find it now. may be moderator can help.

I do not have a complaint but would like to plea to schools to kindly keep an option to downloan form online like many schools have done. Schools own the responsibility to educate the future generation of this country. At least they should take the first step to go digital.

Good evening!!!
Two BIG questions are :
Why we are so hungry for these private schools ? I hope the answer is to get the good education (good quality of education). So we middle class and lower middle class people are no where now …..So my question is ……
#1 Why government is not improving the govt. schools to competent with these private school ? if not possible for government, then why they are not privatizing the govt. schools ?
I hope govt. can do it if govt. replaced all the blue line bus in DTC LF CNG and metro , why not for the school?
#2 Why Government is not fixing the tuition fees and other fees in creation range of amount like Rs. 1000-1500 for all the private school weather the school is made by marvel or made by simple bricks and cement? We need good education with in safety constructed buildings, not the school constructed like Taj mahal.

Teachers in govt schools are better paid and have job security but still education level is in dust.
but i think sumit is going to chat with pvt school association president and NOT any govt representative.
