Admission Dates | Admission Criteria | Compare schools | Fee Details
Hi,
My child is 4th December 2010 born...in which class he should take the admission in coming session 2014-2015.
I am trying to admit him in nursery class but most of the schools takes 3+ child.
I would like to know what is good for my child, to wait for another 1 year or to make him admission in nursery.
Thanks

hi all
My son is 10th dec 2010 born..... my concern apart from the eligibility criteria is whether he is ready for school ... The play school my son goes to have kids who are Feb 2010 and May 2010 born .... n they would be applying this year too .... I see a huge difference between them as they are better with their speech , coloring etc....
My point is tht he should not lack behind from them..... so should i wait for another year??/
Pls give me ur views??

Delaying school entry to get advantage over others is not a winning strategy.
Due to birth date some children are "ready for school" and others are not has become controversial now.Just as children begin to work or talk at different ages, they also develop the psychological and social aptitudes necessary for school at varying ages.
So going by the correct cutoff age for admission will always be a wise decision on your part.
Educators and even parents feel that schools need to be ready for children. School programs can be designed so that all children of the chronological age to enter school can benefit from the program.
If you or the school identify some areas of your child's development that seem to lag behind, use this information to help you and the school plan for the special attention that your child may need. By sharing information with your child's teacher and other school staff, you can help the school be ready for your child. At the same time, you can encourage your child's cognitive, physical, and emotional development before they enter school and get feedback from teachers too and form a good partnership to improve your child in all ways.
Thanks @latha for your valuable comments ....
But my son is not eligible for all schools in gurgaon....... various schools in gurgaon like shriram and heritage gurgaon follows the rule that the child should be 3 on 30th sept 2013 .......... but my son falls short by 3 months as he is 10th dec 2010 born ......... though he would be eligible for delhi schools as they see 3 on 31st march 2014.....
So I am really confused ??? pls help
Amity Gurgaon Vs Shalom Hills Which is better??
@UMA,Amity is academic based and shalom is holistic based Tough to compare. But Amity is more popular.
Thanks Sakshi!! But still in dilema which one to choose....there was one review page shared by nidhi....amity rating was 3 and shalom hills rating was 4...on what basis those ratings are decided!!
Uma,Amity Gurgaon has mixed feedback (Where Amity Delhi/Noida are quite sought after) so better visit the schools first.
hey nidhi ..... any feed back u ve got for Scottish high??
