Admission of my Nov 2010 born kid.

Hi All,

After reading various post on this site, I realized that people are very helpful and give good suggestions. Hence, I am sharing my scenario here to get expert advice.

My kid is Nov 2010 born and is going to Mother's Pride sec-5 branch in pre-nursery. Currently we stay in Palam Vihar and might be shifting to Sec 85, Gurgaon(near Toll bridge on NH8) next year mid.(Depends when Builder give possession of our flat which was due this year)

I am looking for a school which is not too far away from Palam Vihar or Sec 85.

What should I do:

Option 1: Should I keep him in Mother's Pride next year as well in nursery and then look for formal school?

Option 2: Should I look for a formal school for him in 2014-2015 session? if yes, which school should I consider keeping in mind the distance?

hi Nupur ..... I am a resident of palam vihar too ...... I am also going through the same dilemma as all good schools are nowhere near ...... My son is Dec 2010 born.....

The near by good schools are shikshantar and DAV sec 14.

Rest pls share if you have any good school in mind?

Hows ur experience with mother's pride ??

Hi nupur,

There's one school which is excellent on academics front & I.e Bluebells in Sector 10. Guess sec 10 isn't too far from sec 85. Another one is Swiss Cottage school in sec 23 close to palam vihar. Although I must admit I don't know abt the feedback on Swiss cottage, you'll have to visit the school probably to find that out. But bluebells is very good definitely. Also, I have heard that Vatika group is coming up with their own school called Matrikiran near vatika city in new gurgaon area, however that will take a couple of years.

Definitely ur response is helpful. Around reviews of mother's pride sec 5, I am not very much satisfied. Since there are not much available options here so I put him in mother's pride. I found counselors are very good there but teacher's are below average in communication.
There is Kidzee near Spanish court, palam vihar. I heard good reviews abt them. I personally interacted with the teachers and they were good.

Nidhi Swiss cottage is very near to my place ...... but I 'll never put my child there ...... it does not have a good name in palam vihar ...... the better schools are gems and mauryas

Nupur ,i concur with your views on Mothers but some how till last year Swiss Cottage did not have any feedback or was not much mentioned.

Sakshi, I am looking for answers to my original question with which I started the discussion. I didn't like mother's pride and haven't heard good reviews abt any school near by. Which option should I go for from my original two options?

Nupur,You should change the school in Nursery as Kg admissions are tough and depends on vacancies(in case you keep your ward in existing school for one year)

Ayushi,You might find this school in Schoolex but due to high fee ,we don't have many parents feedback.But as per few this is gud school.
