Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2025-26

Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools

I have had multiple discussions with admission councelers,parents,educationists etc. The discussion was whether to send my oct 2010 born daughter to nursery in 2014-2015 session. Though I and also her play school teachers feel,she is ready but I cant ignore the fact that if I send her this year she will be youngest in her class. She may or may not cope up. May be she does well in nursery but in later years she faces problems and even if she does well academically what about physical growth which is imp say in sports. There are chances that she may lag behind in some or other aspect if I send her this year. However confident I feel of my parenting, of her growth but the fact remains she will be youngest in her class. So I want all the parents whose kids are after sep 2010 born but still want to send their kids in nursery next year, have u thought of this aspect and if yes,whats your view point. I would also urge those parents to share their experiences whose kids are youngest in their classes.

Same here, my march 2011 born daughter will be going to pre nursery at LVIS. What's the hurry to rush through their foundation years..

nidhi , which school hv u decided fr pre nursery?

Yes..the case is same for me. Although my daughter's ( Jan 2010 born) pre nursery teacher says that I can shift her to nursery in mid session but still we have refused. We want to give her one full year of enjoyment in pre nursery so that school doesn't become a burden for her later on.

My child is Jan 2011 born ... Gurgaon has criteria fr 3.5 yrs old child fr nursery ... but what about delhi where it is 3 yrs + and children get admitted at that age there ... so children are going there at 3+ to nursery ... children cope up thr .... schools like ridge valley follow delhi curriculum only ... so i think it is a point to be considered

Rachna, the point I m not comfortable is that my kid to be youngest in class. I dont think the concept of sending them at 3 is wrong if all the kids in the class are of same age like in delhi schools but in gurgaon the choices r limited. I m sending her to LVIS for pre nursery

oh so in ridge valley etc where they take children at 3+ yrs in nursery, the children are not @ the same age in the class ... they r bigger?(my daughter will b 3.3 yrs in april 2014) ?

nidhi, if it is ok wid u can u pl share ur no. u can email it me on rachnak79@gmail.com

Its a wise decision, why hurry. Later if your kid performs ahead of the class, then let the school observe and decide whether to jump a grade or two.

Nidhi/Parul, I am also going thru the same dilemma. My daughter is 16-Nov-10 born and currently going to Pre-K in a school. We r also confused whether to admit her in Nursery or Pre-Nursery. Wat do u guys suggest? MMI & MRIS r considering her in pre-nursery while Ridge Valley/Indus World/Shriram Global/Shalom Hills r considering her in Nursery. DPS/DAV/Shiv Nadar/LVIS/SH etc have anyways 3.6 yrs criteria as on Mar & my daughter is 45 days short of meeting the eligibility. Pls suggest.

@tarun

I am also considering ridge valley seriously ... just wanted to know ur opinion about the school and whther thr r 3+ or bigger children like around 4  in nursery ?

@Rachna, not sure on the age grp currenty in their Nursery classes but when dey r taking 3+ child, so they r bound to hve sum kids in this age grp. Though d school seemed quite gud to me wid very helpful n co-operative staff and is quite open and spacious, but its fee is on d higher side. There is not much diff btn its fee and fee in Shriram Global (bout 500/month more overall). SG seemed quite impressive to me. Small building and perfect ambience for small kids. Its till 1st Std though and 1st to 6th is in Sec 45.  Forms wud b out by next week. Fee of Ridge Valley/MRIS/LVIS/GD Goenka & Shriram is almost comparable. So, acc u may decide. I havent heard any negative feedback on Ridge Valley so far.

@Tarun ..

Thanks fr the reply. So ru also keen on enrolling ur child in nursery this yr ?
