Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2026-27

Alumni Question - Modern / RSJMS

Dear Sumit Sir / Sakshi Ma'am,

This is w.r.t. to Modern School, Humayun Road (RSJMS).

Me & My wife both are modernites and the distance wise also we are about 5-6KM from the school (2nd stop of the school bus).

How good are our chances for admission on merit in this school?

As far as I know Modern School allots 30 points for alumni (10 Father, 10 Mother, 10 any grandparent), the seats reserved for alumni are roughly 25nos.

We also have an option of a source that may get us a seat by paying. But the money is really fat.

Should we wait for the merit list or go the "source" way?

Very very confused, please help!!!

Hi Yash, We are against donations.

As both of you are Modern alumni, i think you stand a good chance but competition is tough as there are limited seats but no final guidelines for Nursery Admission this year are out yet.

Better wait for final guidelines.

Thank you for your reply.

As per an article in today's Hindustan Times, it is mentioned that Nursery Admissions will take place this year same as it was last year, because the Supreme Court will hear the case later next year, something like that, if i get an access to the link, i ll post here.

I know, going the donation way is the most unfair thing that can happen to a child.

But really as a parent, you feel desperate to take the measures you are not supposed to.

A lot of friends have suggested to not wait for the merit list as the chances are bleak.

we normally broadcast all updates related to nursery admissions but we did not broadcast as there would have been great confusion among the parent community (HT page no 5 ,19 Nov)
