Best Fair Practice followed by Mount Carmel School for Nursery Admission

Hi All

Mount Carmel School realy impressed me with their Transparency in their Admission Process.

The Points were calculated, the day was fixed for the draw of lots for the shortlisted children. All parents were invited to be a part of the draw on the assigned day.

There were nearly 200 people assembled for the draw at 09:00AM.

2 of the parents were called up to the stage to be the witness to the draw and sign each form that was being taken out as a proof.

Thereby 1 person frm the corwd was called up to take out 3 forms each from the box and the names called out. The 2 members (parents) of the jury then signed those forms. Only the vice principal and the chairman of the board was present there...no teachers as well.

This excercise continued till the time they had filled in all the seats- General, EWS, Girl Child, Single Parent etc.

I go my son admitted into this school through the Alumini. I have studied in this school for 13 years. I have seen this school rise from a 2 room facility to the lavish 4 building complex it is right now.

The essence of this school is it's values, discipline, regards for seniors,love for all and above all Mrs and Mr V.K Williams the principals of these 2 shcools Anand Niketan and Dwarka.

If you're lucky, your child would have got admitted into this school. believe me they would turn out to be Model citizens of tmrw. I am glad that the name of my school was not brought up in any of these cheap admission gimmicks (I was sure there won't b any such issues though)

I Agree Mount Carmel has very fair Admission Process..but if we go according to doe guidelines ..draw or lottery can be done only in case of tie among two or more families having same points.Last year also Mount Carmel was vey transparent as per parents.

I dont know how many parents wud like this to be a common practice in all the schools OF DELHI

BUT ALL THE SEASONED /SENIOR ASSOCIATES I HAVE INTERACTED ON DIFFERENT TV SHOWS ADVOCATE FOR DRAW SYSTEM ONLY....THEY SAY ITS THE ONLY SOLUTION ..
AS THIS THE ONLY IMPARTIAL/TRASPARENT METHOD AND CHILDCENTRIC...NO INVOLVEMENT OF PARENTS FINANCIAL OR EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

BUT IM STILL COFUSED IF GIVEN A CHANCE ..THE ERRING SCHOOL WILL DO SOME HANKY PANKY AS LAST IIT HAPPENED IN SOME SCHOOL OF WEST DELHI .. PARENTS GAVE DHARNA ..AS THEIR NAME WAS NOT THERE(I THINK IT WAS TIE AMONG LOT OF PARENTS
HAVING EQUAL PONTS)

IT WAS IN NEWS PAPERS ALSO !!

My son got admission in KG at Mount Carmel Anandniketan. Admission process was excellent, very very transparent. He had to appear for the test and his name was there in the list. Not even once I had to meet the principal or any teacher, I m impressed.
