I agree with most of the parents here:
Removing the "Parent education/background" criterion by calling it "Discriminatory" is really really odd!! "Sibling and Alumni" based points are also discriminatory and so are the other criteria. The whole point system IS MEANT to "discriminate" ( I say it in the good sense) so that the schools can decide and define who they think are the good kids and who are not.
Just think about it: what is one of the first things that you ask about a school? I would say "what kind of kids go to that school" ... which implies "what kind of backgrounds do the parents have". right?!
Plus, I don't think any school will fill kids with just one type of background.. background points are max 40. So, folks who don't fit in the background criteria still stand a chance through the other 60-odd points.

DOE has become like the Hindi Movie Police.
Coming into play as soon as the Hero Kills the Villain.
No points for guessing that here Hero is Unfortunately the Scholl and Villain are us Poor Parents. This Point System so called revival has come when most of the schools have either finished there processing or r on verge of doing so.

it is nice but it sld be done little earlier so that more parents can get denifit of it. does anyone agrees that the schools are really following the point system?

yes, even i stayed at New Rajinder Nagar where all the schools Like bal bharti, ganga ram, Salwan , springdales,st. michels, st. thomas and many more good schools. but still we were not able to have admission for my daughter who is now 4 yrs. old and studing in Shivneketan.
I think something has to be done in this regard as the children list without admission is getting extended every year if we have this criteria in the coming year. Regards - Pooja Choudhary

same with us athough we both are well qualified and working but not matching with area given by dps rohini school so we not got points for the same.

MY main concern is for schools like Apeejay sheikh sarai, DPS RK , DPS EOK and Amity international Saket where the lists are already out well before this mandate and a lot of parents have lost admissions because of the Profession / Parental Edu criteria
Now, How will the DOE revise the list for all these school
This is just done 3 days before to save their ASS so that at the end they are Out of the blame Game.
Werent the Ministers and Govt aware about these things before ???
There is no nuse to make changes now as the Train has already crossed the station

Great!!!! Even we are out of delhi, no sibling, no alumni, only points come from our qualification and if that is going to be removed.........where will we put our kids

DPS-Rohini has not follwed these instructions. They have not given us point. we jst received 57 points. for my husband profession they had given o. he is in his own business. i am in a job.

its very tough as schools are not following the rules of DOE. where wil our kids get admission. i ahve a single girl child. Apeejay-pitam pura also not folled the DOE rule. they all r considering there own rules
