We are with you and tired of this system changing policies at 11th hour why reservation for govt. Employees if not for professionals were will we go don't have money to fill mouth of these schools with donations like business class . Not great professionals like doctors, C.A, Lawyers, Architects, who have achievements for big schools and get points as there system remained unchanged ie Amity already gave admissions.
Govt Employees have K.V all over India .
How to go about it no idea. Were will all this take us and our kids why not uniformity. No action against schools who are taking donations big names involved. We are ones who give maximum tax to govt. but what we have for our kids nothing if boy then its completely zero cant provide a decent education to our kids for some schools neighborhood is 5kms others it is 8km. Mr. Lovely says good schools in every area tell me one good school in munirka within radius of 3kms. Vk and VV schools giving us points for second category neighborhood.

in fact the entire criteria of admissions of is not full proof, there is some defect in the whole system of admissions,

I will face the same problems as I have faced the problem in Ramjas, RK Puram. They have deducted 5 points as my wife is not working in any offce right now though she is a IT Professional and a free lancer. Agan, we have appled for so many schools like Gayn Bharti, Saket, Blue Bell EOK, Tagore Int, VV, Mother Int. to name a few.
If the points for profession as well as qualification are withdrawn, then we may face the problem.

If criteria of point of education is abolished why not sibling and alumini.How do we get point if ours is first child and have not studied in delhi.See the mothers point system,it has selected only alumini or sibling,where do others go.

It is not fair to change the guidelines at this moment.I had applied for the school in which i was getting maximum points based criteria varying from school to school.Now if things change i may end up capable of getting admission in school i have not applied and not getting admission in schools i have applied.The new guidelines if to be implimented should be done from next year.Opening up the admission a fresh will be harassment to lot of parents as we are fed up running from one school to other for form then deposit then interaction and document verification.

applied in ahlcon international school mayur vihar, now they are changing the point system
it is our first child, so we are not going to get any sibling points, neither we are the alumni of the school now its all rest on distance factor. tell me if 2000 parents are applying for only 150 seats, how u can get through.
now we doesnt have any chance. IF at least we would have known this we could have applied to not known nearby schools

We should realise like forums like these are for our support, and not to cause ill-will between the parents who are members.
The eve of the results coming out is the worst time to be discusing stopping the process, redoing it, etc.

You didn't get into the school near your house, may be, because they had low points for neighbourhood. that is the root cause. NOT your professional background.
I said earlier and I repeat (please read my earlier comment): EACH AND EVERY CRITERION in the point system is to discriminate. The minute you have 100 seats and 1000 applications you NEED TO DISCRIMINATE! Now the question is what is a valid parameter for discrimination and what is not?
If the schools want to give higher preference to, say, kids with doctor parents so be it. But as long as they have points for other criteria like "distance/girl/alumni/sibling" and so on I think it is still a fair game.
I will try to post longer response in the evening...sorry for the rushed response.

very upset with this new drama created by doe . till yesterday ahclon international mayur vihar principal was saying as in times of india that they can not follow new guidelines as they even started taking fee from new students . today they have upload the mesage at their website that list will be declared on 8th of feb as there will be change in list according to new guidlines . where v peoples will who have only their qualification & profession on the basis of v wanted our kid to get admitted in delhi's school . its not our kid's fault that his parents did not study from delhi schools & he is first born boy normal child.

i want to abolish this points system. every child shoud have right for getting admission in nearby school. Only distance should matter and points system must need to be removed from addmission procedure.

Blue bells school
Gyan bharti School
Tagore Interantional school
All these schools have changed the points.
All of them points for alumni and sibling saying that they are not considering parent's background.
But my question is what does sibling indicate? Most of the siblings are 3-4 yrs older than the presnt candidates. And 3-4 years back they were checking the aprent's background .
And alumni means you have been educated from the same school... so again parent's background is playing an important role.
And then the neighbourhood criteria is also different in different schools for eg cambridge give more poitns to children from the same colony... while blue bells and bvn give same points to people living in areas covenred by their bus routes.
Similarly gyan bharti has its own system of calculating distances...
And above all amity and apeejay have not even disclosed their points system completely.
So the sufferers are only those who are professionals but have moved to delhi within the past few years and are seeking admission for their first child.
And the scene becomes worse for parents whose first child is a boy.
The schools should not be allowed to change the system at this stage. and for a next year alos the system should be carefully though about befor the admission process starts...
