Mr.Vohra,
No offences, but what is the use of condemning the last minute changes. Whoever was responsible for the last minute change has surely shattered the dreams of lots of parents. The strange part is most of the schools are not following the changed criteria. In north delhi after the results of apeejay, dps and bbps most of the parents were eagerly waiting for heritage rohini results as all of us knew our points from day one and we were quite sure about our selection, now this stupid criteria has changed and put all of us into the lottery system around 900 applicants for 40 seats. GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People who changed criteria must be very happy because they are not the sufferers, they are not in our shoes to go through this trauma. Our education system traumatises us from the very beginning.

Extremely sick state of affairs, DOE had been sleeping all through out. Schools are not at fault , it is the faulty/corrupt govt. systems....can not do good to anybody. I was expecting a seat in some of the good schools in south delhi...thanks to the new criteria by DoE that woke up 2 days before to create ruckus. ....the lists are delayed & nobody knows the criteria. My luck ....my daugter has the required cut off for Sanskriti school but due to the lottery system , I cd. not get thru....but thats fair. The school has not delayed the result and has stuck to its original criteria.

seems the new pointsystem will somehow will get us back to the old money game; it is odd it is for education and you are not valuing educated ones

We can understand your feelings but It was Mr Vohra only who raised voice single handedly 4-5 days back .when gyan bharti changed it s points....when all big media guys were also unaware of it ....He condemn it on the first day also on front page of HT with education miinisters statement
He raised voice in Toi/Mail today and in Ht again on Friday/saturday/sunday ..

I fully understand that single handedly you are trying to help, but if all the schools would have followed it would have been good, but has it happened NO NO., In north delhi for eg. most of the educated parents were greatly counting upon heritage results now you can see that we are all in lottery ---- fighting for 40 seats 935 of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! does it make sense!!!! why has not dps rohini not changed their criteria, then all of us would have again been in lottery..
What is this criteria nonsense- alumni, sibling, GIRL CHILD- are we in some village where we try to kill the girl foetus, come on I am personally against celebrating woman's day on march 1, like observing aids day-awakard --- we are not in minority then why this dicrimination...... anyway my point is if the change has been followed by all schools then it is fair, but it is followed by only a few and so nobody gains in this, infact all of us have lost heavily.

the whole point sysytem is not justified at all.According to it we have no right to get our first child and that too if it is a boy admitted in a good school as sibling and girl child gets extra points everywhere...secondly we are not from delhi so lost in alumini points too..only our educational qualifications and profession was the only thing which we carry with us and now that too gone....where do we go?why so much of injustice to our little ones?why should they suffer because of this stupid point system in Delhi schools?there is no school left for us in North delhi now for our son...is this our fault???

Hi,
Earlier we were getting 60 points... some hope was there... Because of removal of pofession and qualification points we do not even figure in that list...we get only 45 points now.... it is so depressing....something needs to be done.... may be raisining the concern might wake up the authorities to do something....

But then again there is a bigger picture behind the scence and businessman.
What about the DOE action against schools which came with results before the dates set in guidelines by DOE. ??? why didnt DOE/lovely take any action against such erring schools????
There is lot of confusion and DOE/Lovely, it seems are good and seasoned at creating it as it has become a ritual every year to harras parents and create mess at the end. They need to first mend their decision making policy and implement it then in strictest of sence in both letter and spirit. And beleice me this will happen only and only when SC gives a stick to them else all thsi drama will unfold next year also.

Its a complete mockery of the system. I had applied in 14 schools according to the distance from the home and even though having a girl child and first child has not helped me to secure the admission for my daughter. I do not know where to go and whom to get talk to. The goverment is not doing anything. All schools have kept different criterias and nothing is on common plat form. Could anyone guide me please.
