Dear Latha Ji,
Just to kill anxiety.
Based on your experience what is the probability of getting admission in a minority school which does not offer seats to EWS category but of course minorities are offered seats in priority where my child scores 75 points ( Distance plus Alumni) and Total Seats are 300?
Latha Ji,
Plz confirm if a 5+ age (but less than 6) child is selected for admission in a school which starts with Pre School (Nursery), can he be given admission with those who are 3+ in the same academic session?
And if so, do you feel any fear for your 3+ child getting hurt by the 5+ child on silly class-room issues. (conditional that there are hardly 15 students of 5+ in that school) for Entry level.
Are these guidelines okay?
I wrote a blog regarding Academic Redshirting
http://www.admissionsnursery.com/profiles/blogs/academic-redshirtin...
and recommend that child should be admitted in age appropriate class. Even RTE Act too recommends the same but at the same time education should not be denied due to age factor. Few countries like New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Australia, UK all have composite classes with multi-age level groups in one class. There is no evidence that mixed-age groups result in lower attainment. I am aware that schools are under discussion of the age difference in class and disagree with guidelines.
I feel guidelines are okay since it is not the age differences that matter but the quality of teaching and learning and the relationship between the child and the teacher.
Yes sure a child of 5+ years can be admitted in Preschool.
Can any one tell..What is the upper age limit for admission in Nursery?
As per guidelines there should not be any upper limit but some schools are applying 4 yrs as the upper limit. so, only a child older than 3 and under 4 as on 31 Mar 2014 is being considered.
Thank a lot , Raman.
@Kapil and Raman, there is definitely upper age limit. It is below 6 years of age. Children who are below 6 years can be admitted in Class Pre School (Nursery) or Prep or Class I as the case may be with different schools. Even a child who is born on or after 1.4.2009 can be admitted at DPS RKP.
Plz do not post wrong comments.
Hi Maharam,
Thanks for info but, even Sakshi confirmed the same that there is no upper age limit..
@ Kapil
In sense to the parents who are asking queries for the child of 4 years for preschool Sakshi Mam might have told since she can't explain each time to everybody in detail. But what Maharamji has written is correct.
Hi,
Can any one tell if interstate transfer covers private jobs as well?
Yes it applies to private sector too.
