East of Kailash has more sibling applications than the number of seats. where do first child go? DPS is over for most...very unfortunate system.

@Suneet what is it that is so unfortunate in this system? aren't those siblings, kids? I feel they deserve wonderful education as much as yours & my kid do.

Why imply blame on the schools for giving preference to siblings. Why shouldn’t a family have both their children educated in the same school, following the same timings and taking the same transport (especially when the Delhi roads can be a source of continual anxiety).

Our main focus & intention is that, the admissions be transparent & fair and school management shouldn't take any coloured money / politician reco to admit kids.

I think DPS's methodology so far have been very transparent & upto the mark.

If they just devise the way to block fake points (distance/transfer etc.), this system should be near perfect.

P.S. I am also a parent of a single/elder boy child looking for admission this year in general category with no quotas in ews/girl child/transfer etc. For me also DPS RKP is out of bounds now.

Agree with you.. DPS RKP has been very very transparent uptil now. I have faith they would be using apt measures to eliminate fake entries.

DPS EOK - 242 / 394 applications having points >=75 are Transfer cases. I dont think this can be true. I would appeal to DPS RKP staff to have a thorough check of all these applications.

Apart from this -

There are 76 applicants having points >= 75 that have applied in both DPS VV and DPS EOK.

Out of this 18 are >75 points that have applied in both. This brings some hope for people having points >=75 + who have applied only in one.

Also i am not too sure if the school will be able to fill 11 seats of VV in teh staff category. I hope some seats get released too.

And does anybody know if DPS RKP has released the 20% management quota seats into the general category or just closed those seats?

wow Nidhi, very deep analysis. Just out of curiosity, Why have you put in so much effort in analysing these?

Are you very very hopeful of getting an admission there?

The management quota for non minority schools has been abolished by the LG/Supreme Court, so these seats are now a part of total seats.

Hey Yash.. thanks !... Yes I am one of those hoping against hope for this school because this is the only school I have alumni points in. Was shocked to see the scorecard yesterday on the RKP site. Esp the transfer cases that are standing mostly against the alumni points.

In all the other schools I would be in the 70 points category. Good education is the best thing we can give to our children.

simple solution would be to make transfer points less than alumni points (so if transfer points were 3 instead of 5), it would be fine.

Although my overall assessment still is that with the duplication between EOK and vv, all 75 point guys will still get in and some 70 too. After all, there are so many schools and everyone applies in 10 schools at least, which is why everything goes down to four or five lists, I believe, last year DPS Vasant Kunj came to people who were even very low down on the waiting list.
