Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools
NEW DELHI: Thrilled earlier by the new nursery admission guidelines, parents whose children were not made part of the lottery are now fuming.
Parents who have managed to score only 70 points through the neighbourhood criteria are a worried lot as most schools have not included them in their first lottery.
“Most schools have conducted the lottery among those students who have managed to score more than 75 points. The seats are being filled mostly by those children who have siblings in the same schools or whose parents are alumni,” said Sumit Vohra, founder, admissionsnursery.com.
Another big issue that has cropped up is the transfer points. Under the new guidelines, any child whose parents have been transferred to the city will be given 5 points.
A number of parents have alleged that those living in Gurgaon, Faridabad and Noida are taking advantage of the interstate transfer points.
“I don’t understand why anyone has to be given extra points for a transfer? Since neighbourhood is ideally the biggest deciding factor,”
According to experts, the first list will be contentious, filled with children who have got points in the sibling, alumni and transfer categories.
“We don’t want to condemn the guidelines. They are better than last year but neighbourhood points should have been given in a staggered manner so that a child who lived within a three kilometer radius would be assured of admission,” Vohra added

if we are taking neighbourhood as the main criteria for selection, it should be further sub-divided into 0-3 km, 4-6 km, 7-8 km, irrespective of the points scored a child residing within 3 kms should be given a chance in this way there would be equal chance for every child
i had applied in 52 schools (33 in Dwarka, 13 in Vikaspuri, 6 in Janakpuri), will my son get a fair chance as he is our first child
Transfer 5-points should not be given, they should be considered for 70 points
Hi everyone
The parents who want to meet LG or edu min/ cm .you are waisting your time
As admission process is over even supreme court won't intervene.
The only option left is to become party in case coming on 25th feb by schools only then Justice Jagmohan seeing that neither school not parents are happy might do something but even that has very remote possibility, So removal of transfer point and staggered /slab points for neighbourhood as advocated by Sumit Vohraji could be out preference

for fake transfer case eating genuine parents seats
what is your opinion about genuine transfer case ? who you are to decide that transfer cases are fake , let the school decide and as per my experience school like DPS vasant vihar done excellent work in case of verification of transfer cases. and it is going as per guidelines .
Did you go through verification at DPS VV ? Can you shed some light on what documents were checked for Tfr cases?
This would help settle some noise around fake certificates,
Dear Sakshi ,
Hope, you are doing great and me extremely thankful for your efforts. Do we have any lawyer in our group ? If we join the fight against guidelines along with school on 25th Feb'14, the chances of being heard are more.....as HC is always sympathetic to the agony of public..
HI,Gyan
We have so many but who is willing, will volunteer soon. or you can start a thread and ask like minded people.
Sakshi, I volunteer myself against this baseless transfer case point system fight.
