I think this is just a way to check accuracy of a transfer case.

Ahhhh.. they should have asked for it earlier.. ( in case if its required) its getting difficult for genuine cases

If you see their Admission Notice they have specifically asked for this (previous address proof).

It seems they want to check the genuineness of transfer cases.

Why worry if you are genuine about it. Give them the proof and they might be able to reinstate it. go speak to them but only if you can prove the facts. Also in the coming days all school will be under so much pressure that they will demand and if not a very strong evidence then most applications will be rejected.
