I feel its is wrong to judge the school only by labelling it as a five star or an ordinary school. Criteria sd. be based on the deliverables at each school. Expensive school could also be useless while an ordinary school can also be very good. The talks on holistic development have come to play only recently. Schools who are not good in academics have started concentrating on the holistic part. Or else why is DPS(VK/ RKP etc) still considered one of the best schools in Delhi even though the focus is mostly on academics. NO matter how much we may debate on holistic & academics .... academics will always take the larger share. We as parents would want the accurate blend of the two & in cases where they are not able to get thru the likes of DPS , they settle down for so called holistic ones. BUT Does our education system at large support the holistic approach.... this is quite apparent .... if my child wants to study in a specific school after class 1 or 5, he has to sit for an entrance exam...no matter how good he is in practicals theoretical part is given more weightage. Be it your school exams, entrance exams for professional studies ...IIT , IAS , CATS MATS etc. NO matter how good a school is holistically , no parent wants to ignore the academics for SURE. WHY do we always ask bout the 10th ,12 th results of a school, WHY Not achievers in sports, drama etc etc.

We have got admission in Amrita Vidyalayam Pushp Vihar and tagore International EOK. in matter of distance amrita is very near while Tagore is 8 KM. Transport is comfortable from Amrita but tagore has its own brand value.
we might need private cab as afternoon route of tagore is not suitable for us so I am scared on Private Vans.

Sumit ji/members : can you suggest which one we should opt for as both the orientation is on 27th March Saturday.

Can anoyone help on how to claim refund of fees? As I had deposited fees in one of the school to secure seat for my daughter, but later on I got seat in another school which I felt would be worth seeking admission finally. I have now deposited fees in the second school also as they give us little time to think.

Dear Sumitji I remember some direction was available some time back on this forum also, but now not been able to trace it out. Can you please guide, as you always do...!!!

DOE circular related to nursery admissions i.

-> In case any fee is collected from the parent(s) or guardian(s) of a
child whose admission is cancelled subsequently due to non-submission
of original documents by the due date, or any information or document
submitted at the time of registration being proved to be wrong or false, the
entire fee except registration fee shall be refunded.

-> If any parent or guardian, after depositing the full fee for admission
of a child, chooses to withdraw the child from the school within one month
from the date of the admission, then the school may retain the
Registration Charges, Admission Fee and the tuition fee for one month
only, and shall refund all other amounts of fee or other charges.Vinay Kashyap said:
