All of you are talking about transfer transfer.. the ews quota should be removed and we will get more seats. Sakshi mam / tanwar sahab.. plz do the needful for completely removal of ews quota.

Mr Suresh, general category admissions for 70 pts is at stake at large due to transfer points which invited almost NO CHANCE for them. That is why the issue is being raised and even challenged in courts. Govt. is promoting 'education for all' initiative which basically involves EWS category most hailing from jhuggi clusters, though the scenario is almost opposite. However, this issue will also be raised by Mr. Vohra with the support of parents like you.

One thing I want to bring to ur notice that much cannot be raised for EWS as the govt. may take it as discouraging the initiative mentioned above. Paise wale to apne bachhon ko kahin bhi padha lenge lekin inki kaun sunta he. The govt. started this movement to help their children going to good schools.

One more thing -- Whether schools are misusing 5 extra point system  to take donation.

EWS is justified but NCR Transfer point has emerged as a menace and even those drafting the guideline must agree with this! It is another story that EWS category is also exploited by many people.  Our society has to grow a lot learn a lot before it can be marked ideal one!

Very true... EWS category is basically meant to Economicaly Weaker Section of the society, i.e., for parents earning less than 1 lac per year. Hence, govt. subsidised for their education.

Whereas other sections of the society like Single Parent, SC/ST, Children with special needs require a quota in the total seats and not the free seats as their parents are in a position to pay for the school of their choice.

Therefore, it should be like this:

15% seats - EWS/Orphans quota No Fees

5% seats - Staff  No fees

10% seats - SC / ST/OBC category Normal Fees

5% seats - Minority category Normal Fees

3% seats - Children with disabilities Normal Fees

2% seats - Single Parent  Normal Fees

50% seats - General Category Normal Fees

10% seats - Management category High Fees (No donation) to subsidise fees for all other categories

Each seat filled by transfer points have equal chances of getting vacated in future. So it is indirectly profiteering a school. So transfer points should be kept at bay.

I totally agree with Mr. Maharam & Mr. Ranjan.

Could DOE actually put the facts in public forumn in support of their statement. Frankly Guys....this years it seems there is flood or I would say tsunami of transfer cases in delhi this year which has swallowed the  basic right of education of delhite.

Lets look into the seat allocation breakup style & how it is creating inequality in providing education to various children:

Total Seat = 100%

EWS & DG = -25%

Staff Quota= -5%

Girl Quota = -5% (No differentiation is done based on sibling, alumni, transfer etc.)

Remaining general Quota = 65% (differentiation is done based on sibling, alumni, transfer etc.)

Now the status against every such criteria:

1. EWS & DG group : There is already a PIL on this to separate EWS & DG group.

2. Staff quota: No questions....its fine

3. Girl Quota: Why in Girl quota no differentiation factor is provided based on other factor like siblings etc.....And then news reads girls are out shinning over boys in school every year. Brothers & sisters.... Boys ko school mein jaane ka mauka milega tabhi to woh kuch kar ke dikhaenge. Why I am saying this because in almost 70% schools boys holding 70 points applying, they are not even eligible for the draw. Frankly speaking I agree & accept this non discrimination between sibling etc. So if there is a draw in 20 school, at least girls (belonging to any category would have passed to 26 draw of lots & boys only 6 (because of the other discrimination factor I totally disagree). When determination of sex of child before birth has been made crime & there is nothing a person can do then why such discrimination at the school level. Then why we need this quota. But theory is something & practicality is other & I actually support this quota because I know firstly Girls need this, the ways women are treated in India secondly the quota is not that big.

4. General Category: Why there is a discrimination based on only 3 categories: sibling, alumni, inter state transfer(without any clarity on NCR transfer cases from DOE & is a big game changer this year DPS RKP & Mathura rd. also observed almost more than 400  from 550 to be inappropriate). On what logic these are drafted. Why I am questioning the logic of discrimination based on these points because there could be n no. of such logic which would cater different categories:

Very important logic which is left out is about First child.

1. Sibling point: logic only seem here if PTM happens to be on the same date of different school. Logic taken & well accepted.

2. Alumni & Inter state transfer: Can't find a logical explanation here. Why we need to have points based on this criteria? If I am alumni (i.e. passed 12th, clarity brought by DOE here) of any school that would give advantage to my kid.  And to nullify this criteria DOE introduces inter state transfer points (without any clarity within NCR transfers). So when DOE have to nullify these two criteria then why they introduced them & if has to be introduced then why with big open mouth in a general category eating out the prospect of every single or first Child who doesn't fall in either of the categories. Why only these first child are left to GOD will or mercy. Isn't this is an inequality to these first child to have right to education which is also there fundamental right as per Indian constitution. And also why these kid has to go for any C grade or D grade schools i.e. left over schools. What bad they have done to the society.

When we are talking of draw of lots to rule out any inequality in education. Should all these be clubbed together & then draw of lots should happen bringing every KID to accept GOD WILL.

I might sound somewhere unstructured & somewhat rude...but what further you could expect from a depressed father of a boy scoring only 70 points.......

If you also agree please share.

Regards.
