I agree with Ms Gupta. What does an alumni status have to do with nursery admission? It entirely beats up the neighbourhood concept, which was the foundation for entire guidelines. EWS guidelines are much more rational as there are slabs for distance & marks are awarded accordingly. I think there has to be 5 points for first child. We are all being penalized for having first borns.

all depends on the reply/report by DOE on friday, all parents should e-mail there logic against Transfer points to DOE and request DOE to support the PIL in court on 28 th. thats the least we can do for our child's future. (email id's available at DOE website)

I am not sure what it is heading towards but shere nonsense is going bcoz whatever the decision of HC on 28th the loosing parents either 75 or 70 pts one will go to SC and again the decision will delay god knows when the list will finalized

No offence to anyone however, I do dis-agree for Alumni points too.. If one of the parent studied in XYZ school then for sure their kids and their kids will get advantage in future. I do agree with sigling points which will help kids from same family to go in same school.

There is no logic awarding poins to transfer cases or 20 points to stbling , if they are giving points for sibling and transfer then why not for first born child and girl child. I suggest preferances for those who are living in that area from more than ten years and in some cases even from 20 years and more,what about those parents . The guidelines issued is of no use for the general quota kids living in the area.

Sibling point has its own logic, to have siblings in same school.
First child point has logic. But again it can be manipulative. People can misuse this point.
But transfer point has no logic.

Totally agreed...i very strongly feel and have reasons to believe that there r few schools who hv misused these transfer points...it will also b a strong check on them as it will give equal and strong opportunity to the 70 pointers in the draw of lots...so watever advantage one has is of sibling points and alumini points which i believe cant be manipulated...
Im hopeful that we are heading for better times and may the wisdom prevails...
Our trust in the judicial system will strengthen if the transfer points are completely abolished...
