urgent - alumni points regarding

Dear all, 5 points should be given for first child otherwise Points for Sibling/Alumni should be discarded. Why Points are given against Alumni and Sibling??? Anyway its Govt policy but we think It should be abolished. Equal opportunity should be given to all children. Since Raja ka beta Raja concept nahi chalna chayia. One more thing since God has not made any difference among children then who are we? Points for other factors should be discarded. Through this plateform, I request all of you to take up the matter to the Competent Authority before issuing of new guideliness.

Alumni points are absolutely justified. Mr Suresh don't mislead people in the forum for no reason.

Why don't you write a letter to DOE for scrapping all points. Pls understand that ALUMNI POINTS ARE VALID IN ONE SCHOOL. Don't you get it.The fact that you are not happy to get your child admitted in your own school does not stand true for every parent . Its just a question of sour grapes.

You can ask DOE the 5 transfer points that have been scrapped be given to first child.

I have one child and have no plans having second. Why I should be less privileged than those who are having more than one. We are living in India and not in Nordic countries were people are less inclined towards having more children. So why to motivate people having more than one child. Why siblings should be given extra points? Parents who go for second child know that they will have to look after the education of their 2nd ward also.  Having second or third child was their conscious decision.  People say that blessed are the children who have siblings to play at home. Since they are already blessed why these people are not letting single children to have happiness on their faces.
Well, this may look little hard to few people, but those who are having more than one child have gone thru pain and happiness twice. You have actually devoted your time to both the children. And you will have to do that in latter part of your life also. The second child didn't take less time to sleep at night.  None of the process in the growing up of second child was easier as compared to the first one, if it was, so why you want relaxation in the admission process. You have taken him or her for all vaccination as you have done for your first child. There was no rebate/consideration in any aspect.  

Instead of giving more points to first child or to any other category, we should strive to have a system where all get equal opportunity.

Ideally scrap alumni and sibling quota. Make distance the only criterion as practiced in some other countries.

Valid points. I am completely agree with you and ready to take up the issue with DOE. Apart from this there should be DOE observer during draw in each schools so that it shouldn't like a fixing.

Dear Sachin Gandhi, well i have already written to DoE with justification for the removal of Alumni points and done take personally just think about the majority since every school have 20-40 alumni and 40-50 sibling then total is 60-90.. just think about it. Since removal of transfer cases is a good achievement but removal of alumni would be great victory.

I think you have gone sick. have treatment for your self. first you say that points needed for 1st child then you say abolish everything. you are confused. The point system as introduced so that Schools do not do

Alumni and sibling points should be removed. These two categories should not consume 40-70% seats in any schools. If it is the case let school declare that we are a Khandani school and new comers are not allowed. When there is no alumni point or sibling point in professional colleges why in school that too in nursery.

i think what is this sibling or first child point or girl child point or alumini point?In my opinion fair draw should be done from the all entries.no point system.all in equal platform.
