A day after the Delhi government, led by lieutenant-governor Najeeb Jung, scrapped five admission points under the “inter-state transfer” category for nursery admissions, it issued new directions on the admission process, which will now be determined on basis of “neighbourhood,” “sibling” and “parent” points. |

Finally selected candidates got a great relief so i am thankful to our LG ,Sumit vohra and all of them who are concerned with our problem.
Mr. Vohra,
You will certainly agree now TP cases will have to compete in less available seats where some seats are allocated to 70 pointers. Again this is grave injustice for genuine TP cases, who were in no way at fault and filled the form as per doe's earlier guidelines. DOE has neutralized the advantage to TP cases but why they had to PENALIZE??? Now with 70 points in hand don't they have right to compete in all the earlier available general seats?
will you please take this up too? There should be complete redraw for general for parity.
@mr gaurav, dont you think 70 pointers had a right to compete for all general seats? They were not even considered for draw in many schools, they had to be satisfied with whatever seats available in whichever school they could atleast get to the draw. Now that based on sheer luck some of them have got seats you want to have a complete redraw for "general parity"?
@ Mr srivastava. I agree with you, yes they had.... See the point is there were no special demands for TP during the formation of earlier guidelines. neither there were opposition, because it was not anticipated that TP will be grossly abused. Even 75 pointer has to undergo DOL at many places. But when the process of improvement of the guidelines has taken place, then better be fresh. of course this will not go down well with selected 70 pointers. The way genuine 75 Pointers, who followed the DOE's earlier guidelines, have to leave their seats now, similarly selected 70 pointers should also, making way for total new DOL.
What is the rationale behind giving points to alumni? Do wards of alumni of IITs and IIMs among many others get the benefit points during entrance exams? Look this entire story around alumni is a farce and a repugnant continuation of the feudal mindset. We're sure the next order from Hon'ble HC would give a decent burial to this drama of alumni--hopefully in a week's time. This atrocious practice which has been continuing for years must be laid to rest now. So Dear 70 Pointers, don't lose your hearts, we will not allow alumni to devour most of the seats in leading schools in Delhi. When 90-95% applicants hold 70 points, why the privileged and jugado 10% (combining alumni and siblings) eat all the seats in top schools. However, we are still considerate about sibling clause with only difference that this should be capped. But for alumni we harbour no mercy because this is simply illogical, scandalous and unconstitutional.
My daughter has been shortlisted in the waiting list for The Shri Ram School in the Girls quota. She has 70 points score. Will her waiting list status be removed? Can Sumit or somebody please reflect on this please?
I think girl quota will not conclude
what abt fraud in EWS?
Hi All,
can anybody explain why the point system removed for EWS/Disadvantage category, while most of the child from this category living in rural or Slam area, there is no any Private school near under 0-1 KMS radius, how come that children get nominated for admission in a good private school there is no school near about slam or rural area. need to implement same point system for EWS & disadvantage category as well, so equally can give chance to them.
