I have just one thing to say- Delhi is the National Capital of India, how can a citizen of Delhi claim that his fellow citizen who stays in some different State of the same country shall be deprived of the Transfer Point system??
It seems that we have become so myopic that we are keeping all legal/ valid point at standby and only for the sake of individual vested interest, the cases are being filed in the shape of PIL.
Pls suggest at to what is the fault of a Parent who have just been transferred from some different State? Shall their basic right be infringed?
If this is the case then Why Sibling Point? Why Allumanai Point even? These points are also illogical as they compel the schools to take only those students whose parents have studied in that particular school or their siblings. "This is another way of treating equals- unequally".
This is total anarchy!!
Everyone is coming from different state is given same 70 points which are given to local Delhi residents! where is the injustice? Please don't think for only yourself. How your right is violated? It was utter nonsense guideline which gave wrong hope to people having transfer points..
Alumni point can have 5% quota which can be justified..it is the bright students who bring fame to schools..dont you think so..and also it has advantage in only one school... unlike transfer points which has edge everywhere... Still giving 5 point is not justified.
Think for Every Kid.....
this mess has helped the schools whom nobody used to give weightage. now these schools are calling parents to submit fee to secure seats(lottery system is not followed at all).
Also regarding new way of conducting draw, i think now there is no exact formula which can satisfy everbody.
It will be justified going to those schools at the current situation. Be prepared to lose some money if your kid gets a luck in 2nd /3rd list...
.......... scrap all points expect sibling (which is practical condition existing as per current situation-any one can easily verify this from the school and no one can manipulate this record)..........only keep criteria of distance of 8 kms........ no matter what selected/wait listed/not selected a fresh redraw of all the candidate should be done collectively.......... this is the only solution which justify equal and fair chance for everyone
I agree with ABC in this matter from A.....to ....Z
Why leave sibling points? Scrap sibling points as well. What is the logic of sibling points. Also please do away with girl child quota in general category
Sibling point is justified. Please think with cool mind. I am not having sibling advantage still i support it and that too in such a hell situation..all whitewash for me still..
Today DAV Shrestha Vihar is conducting draw for 70 poniters.
As per Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi, Directorate of Education order No. F.DE.15/1031/ACT-I/PART-I/2014/21645-56 dtd. 27.02.2014 a fresh draw of lots (General Category) will be held for the following:
1. 32 seats assigned earlier to ‘Inter State Transfer Case’ category applicants shall stand vacated.
2. Remaining applicants at 70 points i.e. not selected in the draw held on 26.02.2014
The draw will be held on 01.03.2014 Saturday at 2.30 p.m. in school. The reporting time for the same is 2.00 p.m. Only one of the parents should come along with the original registration slip.
NOTE: - The draw held on 26.02.2014 shall remain valid for the selected / confirmed candidates only.
The following 32 candidates selected under ‘Interstate transfer case’ will also be considered for draw to be held on 01.03.2014.
what about the waitlisted candidates who comes under 70% point category.
If parents are transferred from any other city to delhi before the admission process has started then they are already getting 70 points for neighbourhood and they are on a level playing field with other parents of the city, so where is the discrimination against these parents??????.
