St. thomas Dwarka

Dear parents/ Moderator

My child has been selected in st. thomas school dwarka and we had mentally prepare to take the admission.

But i have some confusion kindly through your insight on them.

1) This School is showing on the Website that The St.Thomas School, Dwarka is an extension of the Parent school, ( St. Thomas Mandir Marg ).

2) But Once i called on St . Thomas Mandir Marg on 011-23364094 to confirm that this is same school or not , They Deny and told that that is Franchise and totally different Management and we dont have any hold on that school .

3) This is Not a Convent School/ Christian Minority school as per the discussion on forum . But they are also showing Father of Delhi Church as a Chairman of the School . copy from Website

Chairman - Rt.Rev.Sunil K. Singh, Bishop of Delhi, Church of North India .

4) As per my knowledge if the School run by church then its must be Convent or Minority School .

Please Suggest us whether its a good school or its Hiding some identity under its main Branch ,

Eagerly waiting the response from Parents / Moderator .

@Mahesh how u sure? Please provide source The School following the DOE norms for Redraw for TRF point but Mount carmel has own criteria and starts admission process how?

Even st thomas has its own criteria for distance... and rest they are following same criteria of doe..... own criteria is allowed to minority institutes only

St Thomas is a franchisee of St Thomas school mandir marg..It is not a convent school neither it is a christian minority school.Though it is a franchisee it is a good school with the stress on academucs rather than extra cc activities..If ur child has secured a seat in that school go for it unless u are waiting for the DOL of DPS or BBPS..My son is in St Thomas and am quite satisfied.

St Thomas had the same criteria for distance(70 points) for upto 8 kms..They had allocated 10 points for transfer and 20 for sibling..

my son is also selected to the school. there is confusion what is the date of fee submission(in the original notification, it is 3rd March). But after new notification, they haven't communicated about the new date. this school looks good for primary and secondary level but we hope that till our children get promoted to senior secondary, it will be good in that level too.

My son's name is there in St Thomas first list, and I'm wondering about the new date for fees submission too. Did you manage to get any further information on this?

St,Thomas is going to conduct the draw of lots today for 14 seat (transfer case vacant) I could not understand the seat matrix.

Total available seat= 240

General seat = 156

Draw with confirm seat = 73

rest seat = 83

Draw today only for 14 seat

I have a doubt whether the school have 69 seats for sibling under the proximity defined by the school under Area code(A)

Note: The school is not a minority school

I guess few seats are reserved for staff n EWS category..but still draw for just 14 seats doesnt add up..My case is a sibling category but am yet to be informed by the school..

73 Confirmed seat for General n 12 confirmed for Girl..thats makes 85..Out of these i saw one name who gas got through Mt Carmel..I doubt whether the parents will let go of Mt Carmel..

Even it established in 2006 so sibling case should not be very much.

Please raise the issue to the concern authority.
